Good food in southern Tuscan corner

After a lovely day driving from Florence to Bagna Vignoni and two visits to the pools of Hotel Posta Marcucci, we had dinner at Ristorante La Parata on a cool November evening. The food was delicious - whether it was the spinach gnochetti, or pasta with truffels, or fresh salads, or incredible... read more

OK, we've been eating here for about eight years. We are addicted to the caci e pepe and the stracotto and the filletto di cinta. And now they have pizza and some great pizza people at that end of the restaurant. Too cold to eat outdoors in April but in the summer it is great outside.

It's the old village that makes the atmosphere in the evening with the huge rectangular roman bath in the center, but when you are hungry after being in the water all day there is a small pizzeria with a nearly invisible entrance (at least off season) - simple but very friendly, good food for reasonable prices, good wine and interesting... Unfortunately our experience was not good at all. The food was overpriced and not flavorful. The owner/waitress was quite brisk. This was not only our opinion but that of other diners with whom we spoke. I would not suggest this restaurant.

During our stay in Bagnovignoni on business trip, we visited La Parata 3 times. 1st night we ate Pizza, 2nd night together with Business Partner and 3rd night Brasserie part. Wine is fantastic. Food and service also. We could enjoy typical local wines! We will visit here again.

Came here for lunch after a long walk from San Quirico. The pizza is good and the waiter was friendly. Had a good beer as well. We sat out back on the porch overlooking a pleasant green yard with trees. It was a windy day but it was not windy on the porch.

We stopped in for lunch, after strolling around this small, thermal waters, spa village. We ate outside, under vine covered pergola and trees -- which was very relaxing. What we ate was simple: salad, pizza, pasta ... nothing fancy. It was all prepared competently. Nothing exciting or particularly exceptional, but it was a decent lunch.

Excelent home made pasta and wine of the house (Orcia Rosso)! Service is also good and price is fair. Totally recommended!

Staying at nearby Adler Thermae resort we ventured out for lunch and found this treasure! Lovely place off the main square with an adjoining pizzeria. The pizza was the best we have had in all of Italy. The pici pasta was good too. Highly recommend it

Varied menu of local, traditional Tuscan meaty fare with interesting vegetarian options for those so inclined. Good choice of wines at good prices. Outside covered terrace for warm evenings such as the one we spent there this June. Home made pasta (pici - a bit like straws) especially good. Inappropriately named "Stinco", actually a slow-cooked hock of pork, was divine.
