Very good trattoria in nice setting

During our evening walking we discovered this hidden treasure....From outside it looks very pretty and even better from inside...FIrst time we sat inside next to the wall in the corner and felt very cosy, ordered two different beef dishes...mine looked like raw sliced beef with mushroom sauce....it was good, but when we came second time to eat here...was so amazing. We sat... More

We loved the local pastas and meat dishes on Trattoria Al Vecchio Forno's menu. I was the only non-local within our group. The locals from the area favored the Wild Boar and Tuscan Steak dishes, and Tagliatelle with Wild Boar of Venison.

We found this delightful garden cafe while strolling the streets of this delightful town. Lunch was delicious and service was very good. Quiet informal garden cafe atmosphere. Perfect midday break while exploring Tuscany.

This restaurant was a disappointment to us, being number one on tripadvisor normally means the restaurant has something extra, which we did not find. It is the only place we have eaten where the menu for the ladies is without any prices, probably based on the idea that he should pay and she should just order what ever she liked.... More

This was by far one of the best meals we had in Italy! We came for lunch and enjoyed several traditional menu items including the tagliatelle and of course, the cannellini beans! They were served in a little glass casserole type dish and we're just outstanding! We ate outside but the restaurant's interior was very creative with pans as light... More

If you painted a picture of a "typical" Trattoria I'm sure it would look like this. Tucked away in a side street, a sheltered and partly covered garden providing the primary seating on this warm evening. So it looks the part and it's full of tourists. Few surprises on the menu. The food is adequate, no more and in the... More

Quite by accident we decided to have lunch in San Querico and fortunately chose Trattoria al Vecchio Forno. We ate in the garden in a lovely setting, but the real winner was the food. We go to Italy every year and this was one of the best meals we have ever had. The Cannelloni stuffed with Ricotta and covered with... More

This was our 4th visit to Tuscany, and the first after 10 years. We always eat here at least once when we visit, and it is always excellent. The menu has changed since the last time we were here, but the food is still as good as always. There were 4 of us, and the two guys got different beef... More
