Spectacular Birthday Dinner

We reserved a large table in the garden which is under a thatched roof with strung lights and candles that provides a stunning ambience. Our group raved about their meals but we agree that the cacao e pepe was the stunner - and probably the best we ate throughout Tuscany. The pastry chef prepared... read more

very disappointing experience. we ordered lunch and to our great disappointment the food was not at all in line with what the restaurant credentials aspire to be. the soup was re-heated (and quantities were not at all generous), the pasta was overcooked and our side dish was brought after the main course (which they served at the same time as... Dear Mrs Paola, I am really surprised to read this review, that is so incredible, that I suspect that you have reviewed another restaurant, also because nobody has made a complaint like this during the service otherwise I would have solved immediately . I grant that In our restaurant "Antica Trattoria Toscana Al vecchio Forno" the products are all of... More

Spacious restaurant with beautiful toscany garden and friendly service especially for non italian speakers. We ordered a beef steak and surprisingly they served us with a special table to put the beef steak which was more than enough for two people. The chef cut the beef into slices and directly served them on our plates. Perfect, it was a right... More

Can't ask for much more than excellent food, wine & ambiance in the middle of Tuscany!! The food was fantastic, service is a little slow, but you expect that since dining is an experience in Italy!

Ate here twice during a week in San Quirico. The pasta with leeks is absolutely amazing. Everyone at the table enjoyed their entrees but they all agreed that my pasta was by far the best. High quality food and service. I will certainly return.

We have visited this restaurant a few times in the past and we had really enjoyed it. However, in our most recent visit this year we found the food to be not as good as it had once been and the service to be a bit on the surly side. First, we love the little town of San Quirico. An... More

Very friendly restaurant with excellent Tuscan food. The truffle pasta was absolutely delicious! The antipasti/meat platters to start were enormous (1 between 2 absolutely plenty). The mains were not the cheapest, but it was worth it for the quality, and the wine, as is generally the case in the region, was very good value. The complimentary prosecco to start was... More

On a balmy evening, the setting in a walked garden coukd not be better. San Quirico is the nicest of the hill towns in Tuscany. Beautiful, quiet, small but big enough and with stunning vistas. We ordered a salad as a starter that was advertised as having rocket, pecorino and walnuts but came with fillers such as boiled eggs, lettuce,... More

This restaurant delivered everything we expected: While the food was not the best on our Tuscany trip, it was very good and gave us no reason to to doubt their professionalism; they won us with an OUTSTANDING wine list with the most incredible prices (how do they make money with wine?!) a very, very attentive and professional service and a...
