Delicious Tuscan food

Very friendly restaurant with excellent Tuscan food. The truffle pasta was absolutely delicious! The antipasti/meat platters to start were enormous (1 between 2 absolutely plenty). The mains were not the cheapest, but it was worth it for the quality, and the wine, as is generally the case in the... read more

We have visited this restaurant a few times in the past and we had really enjoyed it. However, in our most recent visit this year we found the food to be not as good as it had once been and the service to be a bit on the surly side. First, we love the little town of San Quirico. An... More

On a balmy evening, the setting in a walked garden coukd not be better. San Quirico is the nicest of the hill towns in Tuscany. Beautiful, quiet, small but big enough and with stunning vistas. We ordered a salad as a starter that was advertised as having rocket, pecorino and walnuts but came with fillers such as boiled eggs, lettuce,... More

This restaurant delivered everything we expected: While the food was not the best on our Tuscany trip, it was very good and gave us no reason to to doubt their professionalism; they won us with an OUTSTANDING wine list with the most incredible prices (how do they make money with wine?!) a very, very attentive and professional service and a... We had several lovely meals at the Trattoria whilst we were staying at the Palazzo de Capitano. Food was lovely, relaxed atmosphere and attentive, friendly and welcoming staff, We ran out of room for dessert and so we were offered fresh fruit. Saying that it wasn't one of the best meals we have ever had is not a criticism it... More

We ate at this restaurant three times during our week in San Quirico d'Orcia. It has lovely outdoor seating, though we ate indoors due to rainy weather. Service is friendly, and they give diners a complimentary glass or prosecco to start the meal. Food is very good and reasonably priced.

The wait staff must have forgotten to sprinkle our able with fairy dust before we arrived, as we did not have a "special time", a "best meal ever" or a "sublime" experience at this restaurant. I checked our invoice, and we did indeed eat at the same restaurant that others proclaim to be the best in San Quirico. Our experience... More

After multiple trips to Tuscany and having eaten many meals, some of which I felt were the "best" in a particular town-- I honestly can say this is the best I've had. Great location in a courtyard garden (both covered and non-covered options so you can go regardless of weather.) Cute charming town that we would otherwise have skipped over.... More

The "special" factor is quite high when seated in the garden, not sure I would have felt as "special" seated indoors. The food was very good ~ the bistecca alla Fiorentina, the tartufo ravioli was delicious but a bit pricey for 3 ravioli. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that the service received was not... More

My wife spotted the sign for this restaurant from the main road and thought that it would be good to eat somewhere quieter. We followed the signs to the garden and entered a charming area with each table shaded. We chose one of the dishes of the day - spaghetti with Tuscan ham and artichokes and had spinach and chickpeas/cannelloni... More
