My wife and I along with her sister and husband, staying locally, we decided to try a restaurant in Vagliagli, we had eaten here 8 years before with different owners I believe, we were not disappointed. I had a superbly cooked rabbit and the other diners were very happy with their meals too. Although it was around 8pm the restaurant... More

A bit out of the way for us but worth it once we got there across country. Laura and her husband were very accommodating and their charm and enthusiasm carried the evening for us. Special mention for our (home-made) pasta starters and then the veal carpaccio. We chose a very local Chianti to accompany the meal. We sat outside on... More

This is what you really want a great local restaurant to be like. Super locally produced food and wine....beautifully prepared; with great service in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. Lovely home made pasta; a superb panzanella; great Fiorentina steak; and superb desserts And to complement this, great service and personal attention from Salvatore and Laura First class.....go try for yourself

This was highly recommended by our hotel manager. It did not disappoint! I had one of the best meals here on our 2 week trip to Italy. I had the spaghetti with bread crumbs on top for my pasta. It is such a simple dish yet they made it with so much flavour and perfect combination of texture. It was... More

Had dinner here last year. Two pairs of adults and one 5 year child. Although I love Italian food, the inland Tuscan food is not exactly my favourite. However, this one was different. Pasta, risotto, meat, vegetables, all excellent. My companies from Japan were also very satisfied. The service was also nice and friendly, even with a small boy. A... More

Had lunch: tuscan crostini with a wonderful tagliata (served on a metal hot dish) Either owner and cook (I guess wife & husband) very friendly and interested in our feedback I truly recommend it while travelling to Siena or towards Chianti hills

Went here our first night and they knocked it out of the park even helped me back my car out. Came back for lunch today. They kept the place open just for us don't get that kind of treatment in most places in the US. Tagliatelle was the best thing my daughter has eaten in our 10 days in Italy.... More

Laura and Salvatore bring a wonderful friendliness to the experience of dining at their Osteria. Even before the high season I recommend you visit them as soon as they open at 7.30 pm. Whilst unfashionably early, it will allow both of the owners the time to show their characters and give you some idea of the care they take in... More

The husband wife team of owners were most accommodating. He managed the restaurant while she did the cooking. The He said he would save a parking place for us when we stopped by to make reservations that afternoon, which he did. When we asked a question about a particular dish he brought out a book to show us pictures of... More
