Pleasant evening!

Can't complain about the price and the food very nice! Come here about once a month live in the near town. Would recommend, definitely! Nice touches with blankets to go out side and candles etc. Service from staff very professional!

The best things about Dick Hudsons are its location (with excellent views) and its ambience (warm and welcoming). But sadly the food is not so good. As a party of 4 we ordered three starters. The pate was adequate but hardly exciting and the batter on the calamari was crumbly rather than crispy. Although the menu stated that the 'Sunday... More

We have visited Dick Hudson's several times in recent years when visiting the area and have previously been hugely impressed by the variety of menu, good food, drinks and above all service which have left us with a good feeling about the pub and the way it is run. We visited a few weeks ago on our latest visit to... More

This is a lovely pub, in the middle of stunning countryside, the food is pub grub, and enjoyable for most people, but not if you have Crohns disease, it makes you ill. Which usually means that there are preservatives in what is served, shame, as I have Crohns disease. The drinks are good, the staff are lovely and if you... More

Great location and the food was very nice. The staff are very attentive and friendly and drinks not over expensive.

Better-than-average pub food. The inside of the pub is attractive, and service was good. If possible, come on a weekend before 5PM. There's an early-bird menu that's much cheaper than the other times (£6-£9 for a main, and £2 each for a starter or pudding).

I went with my wife for Sunday dinner about 4 weeks ago. My wife ordered the pie & I ordered the beef roast!! When it came my beef was full of fat & grissel so I sent it back. I was brought another 'beef' dinner and this was the same so I sent it back and had to settle for... More

Just enjoyed an excellent meal today. We opted for the Mothers Day menu, 3 courses for £18 which was extremely good value. We had reserved a table for 4pm which was ready for us even though we were a bit early. The restaurant was very busy but there was a great atmosphere. Enjoyed prawn cocktail, roast beef/lamb with lovely roast... More

We had booked a table as we were eating early Saturday evening and are glad we did as the pub was really busy. We had different dishes,Hunters Chicken,Merlot and Beef Pie and Beef Burger, and all agreed our meals were delicious. We managed to find room for chocolate and peanut butter cheesecake and trifle, again they got the thumbs up from everybody.
