We have been to Dick Hudsons before and the meals were OK. On this occasion it left us very disappointed. Me and my wife treated my son to a lunch and he has a special dietery requirement. Instead of taking a burger meal, he only wanted the burger without dressings. He received a small cup size portion of chips and... More

Four of us visited last night. Being a lovey evening it was admittedly very busy. However that is no excuse for the poor food and service. We were all disappointed and unlikely to visit again.

Made the trip for a teatime treat and was glad we did. The staff were welcoming and knowledgable. We chose the set menu option which we all felt was really good value for money. We were not disappointed. Our meals well presented, piping hot and tasty. There is a lovely outdoor evening for those hot summer evenings ( if ever... More

Well we couldn't quite choose from the main menu and a special Father's Day one. Anyway we opted for the Father's Day one. Pate, prawn cocktail and a cheese dish with caramelised onion chutney all tasted fantastic. Main course all went for the mixed meat Sunday roast with extra pigs in blankets. That was amazing too. The only down side... More

We arrived for our 5pm Saturday booking for a 80th Birthday Party. A good hearty. Welcome as the 11of us arrived. There were several local real ales to choose from as well as the normal lagers etch Our table was ready at the end of the dining room. The menu is pretty extensive and needs a good 10 mins to... I met up here with some old friends for a birthday lunch having booked our table on line requesting a nice table with a view. I wasn't disappointed, we were given a lovely window position and everyone was pleased. The food was fresh hot and delicious and the service was exemplary. A lovely relaxing celebration and we all agreed we... More

Very disappointed! I was really looking forward to a relaxing lunch on a beautiful warm day- arrived to find most outside tables covered in leaves from nearby trees, so decided to sit inside. The inside is gloomy & Bradley lit & had a very rundown atmosphere. We wanted a sandwich, there was a choice of 3, all coming on brown... More
