Visited here after a 3 year gap when last in town. We bravely ordered the meat Meze for 2 and half way through realised we should have skipped lunch! The food was amazing and reminiscent of the previous visit here, it could easily have fed a family of four. Lamb was the last dish to come out and was to... More

We ate here a couple of evenings while on holiday in Protaras. Food is amazing with huge portions and the staff make you feel really welcome. Highly recommend you visit here.

We wanted a traditional Greek Cypriot meal and Nikolas Tavern did not disappoint. The place isn't over styled like some of the other Greek places on the strip and offers lots of home cooked dishes. We had the meze starter for two which was simply gorgeous and offered lots of dishes which we could sample. I chose the Moussaka which... More

The local dishes are authentic very tasty and portions are HUGE. don't be afraid to leave what you can't manage, enjoy what you can. Owner Nicholas will advise your choices and explain how dishes are made if you are interested. The high number of returning customers reflects the quality of the food.

Just returned from another wonderful holiday in Protaras with my husband, sister and brother-in-law. As always we make Nicolas Tavern our first port of call and very rarely eat anywhere else . We have been going there as a family for many, many years and consider Nicolas, Julia and the staff to be friends. The quality of the food is... More

We have visited Nicolas Taverna in Protaras every year since the day it opened and on the 28th September 2014, along with 52 guests, this was the venue for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary Party - what an absolutely fantastic evening was had by everyone. We left all of the arrangements to the head waitress, Yulia, and Nicolas and they had... More

The food here was good, if a little over-priced compared to other restaurants where the food is a better standard, but still a lovely place to eat.

This is the second time we have visited Nikolas' Tavern over a 2 year period, and happy to say it is still as good. We ordered a meat meze and a veg meze, and we were pleasantly surprised. His winning specialities are definitely the taramosalata and the humus, which are made fresh on site. The meats are also nicely cooked,... More
