Had the lunchtime cheap three course meal. Very nice, food good, the place much quieter than some of the others in the chain but still the music is too loud for me.

Wouldn't choose to eat here normally but with work colleague and needed a quick, good value lunch. So against my better judgement thought we would give Sambuccas another chance. Service and the value of the 3 course was good. No fault there. But the standard of the actual food is poor. Lunch was woeful fodder. Limp garlic bread, tasteless, oily... More

I don't think that the other two Italian Restaurants (Marabinis or Gianna's) have anything to worry about! Whilst the food is ok there is absolutely no atmosphere, the staff are direct even a little curt with no effort to interact with customers; in order eat out. If you like eating your pizza with dance and trance music blasting out then... More

Heard so many great things about this place!!!! Was very very disappointed! I know it's cheap but really,if we had to pay more for better food, then I would've done, Ordered the lunch special for £3.95,I got the potato skins, which looked and tasted as if they'd been cooked more than once! And were freezing cold, didn't want to complain as we had... More

My wife and I visited samb 1 today, it looked very cheap for a light lunch, then to our dismay we found out why, we sat at the first table in doorway, it was very cramped, the table cloth was filthy, we ordered soup (pigswill) no taste at all, my wife then had lasagne (did not look or taste like... After having been disappointed elsewhere, headed here on the off chance. We have been previously and always enjoyed our meal. It was extremely busy but didn't wait too long for a table. We shared a garlic bread with cheese to start this was very tasty. We each had a fillet steak with a sauce and vegetables for the main course... More

We visited as. Group of 8 and opted for the three course for £9.95 evening menu. The starter was a strange combo of black pudding goats cheese & salami all deep fried in breadcrumb..tasted ok but flavours clashed wildly. My main I opted for chicken cordon bleu which when it arrived was a breast stuffed with flavourless cheese & cubes... More
