We often eat Dinner here so one Sunday a descion was made to try their breakfast for a change. Unfortunatley we were left a little dissapointed, as soon as we arrived we seemed to be a problem for the staff. No nice smile or good morning just "oh Hi err take a table wherever" The restaurant was approx 50% full... More

I'd been wanting to visit Irvins for ages and was so pleased when I finally managed to find an excuse to go. As a fussy fish eating veggie it's sometimes difficult to find things I like on the menu. I'm not a fan of goats cheese yet it seems a firm favourite for restaurants to offer as their vegetarian option.... More

Our third visit, this time a family trip. Lovely welcome and happy to let us choose our table, a big plus for me as hate being herded together as many places do! Service remained friendly and efficient. Good timings between courses, fabulous food and excellent value. We sat in the window of the bar area as it has great views,... More

We visited this restaurant when visiting Newcastle. The food was very good and service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and it had a good atmosphere. My daughter and niece had visited previouslywith their husbands and enjoyed it very much. Will visit again!!

Another great visit to Irvins which never fails to please. We regularly visit friends in the North East and haven't found a better place than Irvins for a relaxed meal, great food and good atmosphere. Fish is always fresh and cooked well with beautiful sides, the pomme purée is a treat!

The food was really fantastic, fresh ingredients and full of flavour. The crab salad is my favourite starter, and the mains are always cooked to perfections. Been there 3 times so far and will definitely go back again. Thank you all the chefs at Irvins!

This is a fantastic restaurant. its brilliant that you don't have to travel into town to have a high quality meal. My husband and i have been here quite a few times and always recommend it to our friends. I find the staff really accommodating, when I went with a friend who was pregnant they made her a lovely refreshing... More

Just had another delicious Sunday Lunch at Irvins, a favorite for any occasion but lovely to chill out on a Sunday afternoon in a great atmosphere. Making sure i could squeeze in dessert i opted for the Corned Beef & Salad Cream starter really tasty(however my favorite is the smoked haddock scotch egg, delicious) followed by Lamb Lap with a broad... We have eaten frequently at Irvins and went again on Friday night, facilitating a lovely romantic date night off from the little ones :) I had the dressed crab starter and Grilled Calves liver main which was to just the right side of pink and melting, the t'other half had the confit duck starter with fennel which went beautifully and...
