Tasty lunchtime treat

Been trying to get here for a while after hearing good reviews and finally we managed it today! We all chose from the special lunch menu with 3 courses for £16 which was excellent value for what we received. We had 1 starter of fish soup & 2 goats cheese salads followed by 1 belly pork which was... read more

This was not my first experience of Irvins I have had tasty Sunday lunches with family and a fantastic Saturday evening meal with a group of friends, but was the first time we had visited week days for a late lunch. The menu did not disappoint ( I can highly recommend the scotch eggs 👌) the staff were brilliant, (... More

Went to Irvins for lunch Thursday and couldn't be happier with the whole experience. The staff where attentive and helpful, the restaurant had a homely ambience and the food was beyond words; the scotch egg starter being my absolute favourite! You are able to see into the kitchen from the dining area and the chefs really do work hard and... More

First visit. Called in for breakfast and enjoyed. Good venue, spacious and good music. Service good and really liked our food which is reasonably priced. Will maybe try it for lunch or dinner as we like the Fish Quay these days. Do not like 10 per cent service charge being added to bill as I prefer to decide this based... More

Been to this restaurant for both Sunday Lunch, Evening Menu and Lunchtime snacks and never been disappointed. Great food at reasonable prices with a relaxing atmosphere and great service. Great for groups of friends due to varied and tempting choice of food which is a variation on the norm. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We have been coming to irvins for a few years maybe a couple of times a year. Every time we have been the food has been excellent. The one problem with the place has been that the service wasn't always the best. With this in mind we were debating whether to go back and take guests, particularly given recent reviews.... More

We have been numerous times for breakfast. Always have fantastic time, great food & service. We take our young daughters with us on a weekend, they love the muffins & porridge. The dippy eggs are my favourite & husband always orders full English. We always feel very welcome & the staff can never do enough for you. It's one of... More

Wonderfully decorated great ambience and the menu whilst didn't appear to have any starters on it was very good with some unusual choices. Would be a shame to just have the steak ,the ox cheeks were delicious and fresh oysters served impeccably were lovely. Not a fast food joint if you are in a hurry go to McDonald's but for... More
