Fast service and nice fresh fish! Very good price too! Likely to need to queue but guess that's the sign of somewhere in high demand!

Go past this place any day of the week and it will be busy. At weekends the queue always extends out the door. There is a reason for that.............people travel from miles around to visit this restaurant. The fish is always freshly cooked and they will also vary the thickness of batter (ask for "stripped" if you prefer the batter... More

There is a lot of choice for fish and chips around North Shields and Tynemouth all of which are excellent. Waterfront is no exception. The menu is standard and as they operate a restaurant aswell they are always busy. The food is tasty and cooked well, perfect for a bite to eat on the move and not to pricy

Excellent Fish and Chips with tea and buttered bread, fish is fresh and the chips are excellent. Staff are friendly and the service is good, some times you may have to wait for a table as its is extremely busy but its worth waiting, I asked if they do a gluten free option and the lady told us you can... You go here for fish and chips, that's what they do and they do it very well. The decor and tables are basic, but they do the job. This is the best fish and chips I've ever ate and believe me, I've had a lot! I always get the same, cod, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot... More

This place seems to have a very sympathetic way of looking at it; Let´s sell perfect fish and chips, and that is that. Ok, so Nort Shields is not Saint Tropez, but still, for a waterfront place, the interior is, like the parts of the staff we met, not overwhelmingly charming. If we weren´t desperately hungry, and a little pressed... More

We made a day out of it and travelled 'up north' to visit our cousin who wanted to treat us to some fish and chips. The Waterfront was obviously popular as we had to wait in a queue but the wait was well worth it. We ordered a pensioner's haddock and chips - honestly the fish was twice the size... More

Called into waterfront for fish and chips yesterday and couldn't fault the food or the service. Have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. The chips are the best and the fish is fresh and tasty.

first place I visit when I am in Newcastle, Amazing place, always busy and usually queue but that's because it is utterly divine, fish is freshly trawled in, I have never had less than perfect fish, menu is spot on, plenty of choice, not only in food but in size, i'm afraid I have to have super large as im...
