The Waterfront was obviously popular as we had to wait in a queue but the wait was well worth it. We ordered a pensioner's haddock and chips - honestly the fish was twice the size... More

Called into waterfront for fish and chips yesterday and couldn't fault the food or the service. Have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. The chips are the best and the fish is fresh and tasty.

This is my first visit to the Fish Quay and choosing this restaurant was not a mistake. The staff where pleasant and helpful and the meal perfect with crunshy batter and freshly cooked and the price just right. This will not be my only visit I intent to go again. Really enjoyable, and they do a pensioners deal on weekdays.

We had a day out with our friends along the North East Coast and decided to start our trip at North Shields. We planned to have lunch at this restaurant. I'm a keen Angler and have enjoyed trips down to the fish quay for the past 6 years. the only other real competition on the quay Oceans can be seen as equally good, however the staff and superior selection (including deep fried lemon sole yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...) make the Waterfront the obvious choice for me. There have been times i've waited 30-40... More

returned for my 6th visit and it was superb. the quality is so good the even after 2pm people were in a queue to get a table. we queued for around 20 mins to get in. the portions are large and cheap. quality fantastic, staff friendly and efficient. service fast. simply the best fish and chips in North East.
