We stayed in Lions Head for a week, and were excited to try this restaurant. After a night of far too many glasses of wine, we figured the pub fare would be perfect. My mini shepherds pies in the "yorkies" were great, however my husband and brother were very unimpressed with their fish and chips. The fish was mushy and... More

I recently ate here with some colleagues while passing through the area. It is a quaint little pub and is quite cute. We decided to eat outside on the patio which was a mistake because as more people came in we were eventually surrounded by smokers. I realize that we were outside but we were less than 10 feet from... More

We were looking for a restaurant to eat, but there weren't many choices at Lion's head. We decided to choose this one, but we thought it was just another pub restaurant with pizzas, fries, and etc. But I was sooooooooooooo wrong. Their food was delicious!!!! (We had bangers and mash, cannelloni, and carrot cake ) The highlight of the night... More

Nearly died when I got the beer bill: I think the only places I've visited that were more expensive were in Scandinavia! Food was OK but mostly deep-fried, and not particularly good value. Really, we came here for the atmosphere, which is great, with a good pub feel and a large deck outside. Staff were friendly too.

Local pub for visitors to enjoy seafood, spirits and brews. Staff ore friendly. Even though they need to engage the patrons more by supplying ketchup,or other condiments without being asked. House wine was a hit. The owner is thoughtful and caring to his patrons. Busy weekends mean limited seating. Be sure to make a reservation.

Stopped in for lunch today for a change of pace during our stay in the cottage on the Bruce Peninsula. We shared the appetizer of Sheperd's Pie in "Yorkies". The 3 small Yorshire puddings filled with meat, gravy and mashed potatoes was very tasty, great texture and presentation made it so enticing. We shared a small salad with the house... More

Lovely is the first word that springs to mind second is try-the-food ! HEY fellow Brits Lions Head has a British pub and I'm not joking - no strip mall dodgy pub or corporate giant - just a regular pub felt really homesick ! so sorry we didn't have time to try the awesome food menu we just had drinks... Menu choices are limited, upper end of price range, but the food was good. Especially liked their signature garlic bread

This is pretty much the only place that was open after 8 pm in Lion's Head. It's located right by the harbour/beach park, and it has a great location. I would have to say that it's pricey for the small portions you get, especially because it is pub food that is starchy, deep fried and salted. The server was really... More
