More than pup food.

It's east to see why everyone is generally impressed with the food. Their menu offers choices for adults, children, and pub crawler in general.

Sunday carvery - not the best we've ever had, but it filled a hungry hole. The meat was good; there were the usual sauces whaich went down well, but the vegetables were badly cooked. Hopefully we just picked a bad day - there were plenty of customers, so it must have a good name locally.

My family has enjoyed going to the flying dutchmen for a very long time. I know that it's now owned by different people. (Who are really friendly.) I've always looked forward to the food here but i was disappointed for the very first time ever. The chips i had looked like old oven chips and my salad was a little... More

Due to the other good reviews was looking forward to my visit when I arrived hungry with some friends. Did not have a great experience, hardly any staff available, and the person on the bar made it feel like an inconvenience to have customers. The tables were sticky and were left uncleared dirty plates do not leave me filled with... More

Went to the pub/restaurant as was recommended by the mother in law. When you pull up it doesn't look all that impressive as it is hidden away right down the bottom of a road that leads to the docks. However the garden looked pleasant so we went in! Inside was massive & nice and roomy. The carvery was a bargain... More

Fresh Cod,well cooked Chips and peas with 2 drinks for less than £ 20 what could be better. This pub seems to be a favourite with the locals and passing sailors. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Would recommend this pub very highly

Took my dad to this pub for fathersday there was 5 of us in total. The food was good nicely cooked the staff kept on topping up meaning hot food was always available. You can go back for more veggies which is a nice touch. There was lots of puddings available and a really good selection of both hot and... More

Some of us have been going regularly on a weekday for a few weeks but although the roast dinners are a reasonable price, the meat has got less and sorry but 3 or 4 times now the 'roast' potatoes have been awful. They are not crispy but are hard as they seem reheated and the insides are cold and quite... More

However there is a whole board of vegetarian options of which two were vegan! Hurrah a choice. The staff even went and checked that the food was vegan for me, it was a Friday night... More
