Its lovely here the food is a good price and its all good home cooking. They pay attention to detail here and treat you with respect. This is pretty local for us and we go for a treat.

Visited for lunch and sat by the duck pond. The meal was well cooked and the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. There were no other customers so I can't say what it would be like when it is busy, but our experience was enjoyable - just look out for the peacocks pinching your bread rolls!

When our friends came to stay we decided to try this restaurant for dinner. The staff were very welcoming and the food was lovely though a little expensive.

A table for 4 carnivores. The food was rather good but kitchen ran out of gravy and sauces so instead of mopping up we had a rather dry end to the main course. Had to ask for a jug of water, condiments etc etc. No bread or rolls to go with soup starters so we asked what the side plates... More

We have just returned from an excellent high tea. We were going to enjoy it as our friends were treating us..but it was superb! The moment we arrived we were welco ed. The open sandwiches were delicious, a variety of toppings delicately served. The cakes and scones were wonderful, especially the éclairs! Then there was a raspberry and lemon possett!... More

We had a lovely anniversary meal here on a warm sunny June evening. The setting is idyllic. We had a table by the window where peacocks were wandering past. The lady who served us couldn't have been more helpful. The food was fantastic, the wine was good. It was a quiet Wednesday evening but it helped set the atmosphere, it... More

Came for Sunday lunch as a gift from our Sister. It is a beautiful place and on a sunny day, the grounds are gorgeous. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food and setting was quite traditional, but overall the food was very tasty and the chocolate tart and ice cream, delicious.... More
