I have trouble understanding the recent negative reviews, as we had a very fine evening at Cafe Garibaldi. The room is charming, and the service attentive and friendly. We shared an excellent spaghetti in Nero d'Avola sauce then moved on to chicken breast in a cream sauce and swordfish Mediterranean style. The wine list was suitable and reasonably priced. Had one dinner here and it was the only mediocre meal we had during a six week trip to italy/sicily. There was just nothing that stood out,it was plain jane.

WORST EVER CULINARY EXPERIENCE! We searched Trip Advisor whilst visiting for the weekend, and as the top rated restaurant was closed for holiday, we walked here for our evening meal. I agree with all of the reviews saying about the friendly and helpful staff, but it seems our dining experience was unusually bad. The wine was excellent (as you would... More

I'm a planner so usually before going to new place I check TripAdvisor for tips and recommendations and am rarely disappointed. However, as this trip was on short notice no research has been done. Today we walked around Mazara del Vallo and came across Cafe Garibaldi. It was around 7:15pm and completely empty so I was a little concerned it's... More

What a lovely restaurant! We called in without booking to be greeted with warm, friendly and effervescent smiles from the two sisters who run the restaurant. Although they speak no English, their menu is translated into English and we enjoyed some delicious capaccio followed by sea-food pasta, washed down with excellent-quality house wine. The flavours of the food were rich... More

We returned to the Café after dining there a year ago. It is a terrific place, has great food and service, and is run by two lovely ladies- sisters. Worth a trip for a wonderful meal.

Two very charming ladies greet you as you enter, and everything is good. My wife had the Nero D'Avola pasta and the Swordfish involtini. I had the bolognese tagliateli and Swordfish sicilian style. All was great.

What a lovely restaurant, the charming ladies who run the place speak practically no English yet still can communicate using their bubbly personalities. We shared a starter with an array of different Sicilian specialities. It was delicious! We can highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

This restaurant experience is made by its proprietors, two ladies with so much energy and enthusiasm that you cant help loving the place. Despite almost no English and us having almost no Italian, they made us feel really welcome. The starters were amazing, the vegetarian platter was full of suprising taste combinations and the sicilian rice balls were a big... More
