In the Game of Restaurants played out in Fornells by the daily visitors from North and South all making choices for the place to eat today then unprepossessing Es Pla is the place of kings on the actual quay side. It's obviously been around for many a year, does strangely inclusive menu fixes which included 'our must eat one while... More

We always call this the Kings Restuarant because the King of Spain used to moor his boat and eat here. The best grilled scampi in the world and the only place we have found where you can order paella for one as a starter! Sit outside on the water front and you can feed your bread roll to the fish... OK cuisine, service a tad hit and miss but friendly enough. Seats at water's edge can be uncomfortable!

A stunning location, right on the water with fish to feed by your feed, I have been coming here on and off for 25 years (since I was a child) and the food has gone from fantastic to appalling. The place will continue to be busy during high season, as other places are limited and the location is so stunning,... More

Right on the harbour this restaurant has a fantastic location. The staff were very friendly and the fish we ordered was beautifully cooked and the portion was large but reasonably priced. Great place to eat lunch and I am sure it would be lovely in the evening.

I cannot evaluate the other dishes but every year we eat the caldereta de langosta and it really is divine. The price is high but so very worth it. Beautiful setting, good service and a sense of classical tradition make a seriously first class meal

I knew the lunch menu cost was 19 pp x 9 persons, totat was 288.10, did not think much wine was consumed so compared to other places it was more expensive.

visited this restaurant recently at lunchtime with friends. we had been here before about four years ago and had good value for lunch. this time the staff did not want to know. they said most of the tables were reserved but there were few people around as it was a poor weather day offered us a table in windy position... In Fornells with time to spare at lunch, we had a look around and settled on Es Pla, knowing nothing of the treat in store for us, we chose it for it's gorgeous location, right on the waterside. We looked at the a la carte menu, but in the end we were seduced by the €14 menu, and expecting little,... More
