So glad I found it.

I was on a coach trip to Fornells. Whilst my fellow tourists were whisked off to one of the Harbour front Bistros I decided to find one of the Restaurants recommended in ' The Rough Guide to Menorca '. So glad I did as it lived up to the good review. The interior was clean, fresh and rustic and... read more

Visited twice, on both occasions opting for the Menu del dia, the first was the €18 option, good mussels to start, simple but excellent grilled sole with homemade fries, and tarta de queso (strawberry cheesecake), the second night I fancied trying their paella which was on the €15 set menu, fish soup to start, great mixed paella, and again the... This was possibly the most expensive meal we had in Spain, and it was definitely one of the best. The paella marinara was generously full of lobster, crab, calamari, clams, prawns, scampi and muscles, and was deliciously spiced and seasoned. It was sensational. We tasted croquettes from one end of Spain to the others but the mini croquettes here were... More

Having poked around Fornells and the rest of the island for a very happy week we saved Es Cranc for our last night which was also my 26th birthday (twice round). It's been said already but this is in the old town towards the tower and not on the seafront. It doesn't have outside seating but the ambience and air... More

The food is good, don't get me wrong. Simple but good. The lobster caldereta (typical Menorcan dish) is rich and tasty. And, on top of this, the ambience is very fresh and clean. But it's far too expensive: €70 for a lobster is definitely too much. I can get it cheaper in London, which is one of the most expensive... More

My wife and I have been coming back to this restaurant every year for the last six years; and the thing that bring is back is their succulent Arroz Caldoso! We have tried in other places in Spain, but nothing like the one cooked at Es Crank. Your paired it with a good Verdejo or Albariño and you will enjoyed... More

We were introduced to Es Cranc by some friends staying in Mahon, who were happy to drive over to their favourite fish restaurant on the island. We went there twice in the 6 days we were in Fornells & would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant. Both times we enjoyed the menu, which at just under 20 Euros was superb... More

We spotted this restaurant on a walk round the old town as we both love seafood and I was looking for a nice place to propose to my future wife Kay we booked a table. On arrival Thursday 12th June we were told by the waiter it was the 39th wedding anniversary of the owners . I told the waiter... More

We went to this restaurant looking at the good reviews but we didn't stay because of the prices... Lot's of dishes btw 40 and 70€... It might be worth it but you should know it before going.

This place is worth hunting down as it is just up in the old town and not one of the tourist traps near the harbour. We came here for a birthday as my partner and I just love seafood and this was highly recommended. The service and ambiance was perfect, yes some of the prices are high for lobster based... More
