Expensive but worth the treat !!! They only use local products and they try to protect the species ... just for this they deserve it. Thanks !!!

We had gone there with another couple because it had been recommended to us. When the plate with discolored frozen vegetables over thawed fish was brought in we knew we had made a mistake. Unfortunately we did not think of taking a picture for posterity, The shellfish soup was acceptable -not extraordinary- and the price relatively expensive.

Decided to try this restaurant due to good reviews. The lobster stew was way too expensive, so we decided to have the sea food paella. It was very good and large (2 persons minimum), but very expensive for what it was at around £50 for two. That said, it was a very nice evening with good service. They did have... More

Everyone knows that one of the reasons the gourmet travels to Menorca is the Caldereta de Langosta but, as often as not, one's expectations are let down by the mediocre, over-priced reality. This is very much NOT the case with Es Cranc. This wonderful family restaurant always delivers the goods. The Caldereta we enjoyed the other day was a masterpiece... More

I was on a coach trip to Fornells. Whilst my fellow tourists were whisked off to one of the Harbour front Bistros I decided to find one of the Restaurants recommended in ' The Rough Guide to Menorca '. So glad I did as it lived up to the good review. The interior was clean, fresh and rustic and the... More

Visited twice, on both occasions opting for the Menu del dia, the first was the €18 option, good mussels to start, simple but excellent grilled sole with homemade fries, and tarta de queso (strawberry cheesecake), the second night I fancied trying their paella which was on the €15 set menu, fish soup to start, great mixed paella, and again the... This was possibly the most expensive meal we had in Spain, and it was definitely one of the best. The paella marinara was generously full of lobster, crab, calamari, clams, prawns, scampi and muscles, and was deliciously spiced and seasoned. It was sensational. We tasted croquettes from one end of Spain to the others but the mini croquettes here were... More
