We spotted this restaurant on a walk round the old town as we both love seafood and I was looking for a nice place to propose to my future wife Kay we booked a table. On arrival Thursday 12th June we were told by the waiter it was the 39th wedding anniversary of the owners . I told the waiter... More

We went to this restaurant looking at the good reviews but we didn't stay because of the prices... Lot's of dishes btw 40 and 70€... It might be worth it but you should know it before going.

This place is worth hunting down as it is just up in the old town and not one of the tourist traps near the harbour. We came here for a birthday as my partner and I just love seafood and this was highly recommended. The service and ambiance was perfect, yes some of the prices are high for lobster based... More

We are reasonably foodie, and, having had a couple of very disappointing (and expensive) meals on the seafront in Fornells - including one which had been recommended in our guidebook which was dreadful, we decided to try Es Cranc, which is slightly off the beaten track. Hidden in the old town, rather than on the sea front, it doesn't have... More

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years and have never had a bad meal. When you arrive you are greeted like a member of the family. Even if you are a first time guest you will still be met very warmly. There are 2 set menus available, one at €15 and one at €18. Both are 3... More

Es Cranc is a must for any visitor to Fornells. I have been going there for over 25 years and the food is very good and excellent value. Their grilled sole is the best in Menorca and is on the menu d'el dia, which is available except in high season. All the staff are very helpful and the whole atmosphere... More

End of the season, so very quiet in the restaurant. Well looked after by attentive waiters as I started with Asparagus, surrounded by sweet corn, radishes, capers and olives. Unusual but very nice. The main course was grilled Grouper, with boiled potatoes, carrots, beans and peas. While the veg was fairly ordinary, the Grouper was cooked to perfection, with great... More

Some places you rather shouldn't talk about. It was a local that told us about Es Cranc: that it wasn't touristic, that fish, meat and paella were very good. The place is a authentic, the staff very friendly, the food delicious.

Sadly we didn't visit this restaurant until the end of our second week in second week in Menorca but we will definitely be back next year. The menu of the day offered us fish soup (amazing) and paella followed by desert and also included mineral water and wine. Would highly recommend both the food and very efficient and friendly service... More
