We (mostly) enjoyed our meal at La Gaffe on our first night in Corsica. We reserved and were given a lovely table at the front of the restaurant with views out onto the harbour with its yachts and fishing boats. The starters of Langouste (Cray Fish) and Langoustine (Scampi) were inventive and tasty. For a main we ordered a Chapon... More

Visited tonight on my last night in St Florent following a recommendation from my hotel. On arrival all seemed well and we were seated at a nice table one back from the front. The menu is short and focussed on fish as expected. The wine list is extensive but my firsts two choices were strangely not available. An alternative was... More

Wonderful service and food in the lovely setting of Saint Florent harbor/ village. Pricing is a little high, special lay the fish of the day by the gramme, if you stay with the menu, great food and a wonderful location outdoor on the harbor.

Service is outstanding! Waiters are really qualified and give very interesting explanations of each dish / wine. Regarding the food, we had a plate of corsica prosciutto and fresh fish (chapon). The corsican prosciutto was just amazing, probably the best prosciutto I ever had in my life. Strong recommendation but pay attention, it is not cheap

We had lunch here on a Thursday in mid-September when the harbour was reasonably quiet and you could see that most places were winding down for the close season. We got a table on the terrace - literally 10m from the harbour's edge and the boats tethered up - and both took the €31 seafood menu, which comprised of 3... More

The service here was outstanding. We felt fully taken care of, with the best table in the house. Although a high-end establishment, the prices felt a tad too high for what we had - over €200 for 2....

We dined once at this restaurant and from trying the other restaurants in Saint Florent this one is clearly the best. Superb choice on both menus, we opted for the set menu for lunch and were not disappointed. Location set out on the marina, nice was watching the world go by. We dined with our 8 month old daughter I... More

We had the seafood menu at 31 Euros, the food was very good, service fine without being special and good views out over the boats. The restaurant was among the most expensive in town but good value off the fixed price menu, tables a bit close together and crowded (we could hear the argument of the English couple at the... More

We ate here 3 times during our one week stay in Saint Florent, and each visit was a celebration of seafood. Cooking was simple and delicious; the langouste was perfectly done, as was the St Pierre. “Catch of the day” is strongly recommended and well worth the price. Service moves at an island pace, staff are very nice.

We dined at La Gaffe on the recommendation of our hotel 'Demure Loredana' and weren't disappointed. A superb 'menu fin d'hiver' for €29 comprised a warm fish salad, linguini with prawns and a glorious poached pear with salted caramel ice cream. Service was quietly efficient and the dining room was more elegant than many on the seafront. Far grander options... More
