The food here is amazing, you have to try the fish tataki. They didn't have tuna (what's written on the menu) so they used a fish that they call Thazard, and we asked for the recommended way of preparing it (medium rare probably). Brilliant! We also had the crayfish in hot sauce, that was excellent too, as well as the... More

One of the best restaurants in Deshaies, if not the best, with local products fresh from the sea, very tasty ans well presented. Excellent and attentive staff. Great view over the sea.

What a splendid meal! To all intimidated by the fancy menu, I highly recommend the guinea fowl. Tastes like chicken with more flavor. Portions are perfectly satisfying but leave room for the chocolate soufflés. The restaurant overlooks the charming harbor and if you arrive earlier than 7, pop in to make a reservation. Not a lot of English spoken here... More

Delicious meal! I enjoyed a lovely chicken dish with peanut sauce that was very tasty! Excellent service, nice atmosphere. Wonderful having the ocean lapping at the deck!

High quality food and high quality service. The atmosphere's magic. An open space on the sea. In a ten days holiday I went there four times. The wasabi tuna is a piece of art. Definitely the best restaurant in Deshaies and probably in all Basse Terre.

We were very delighted. La Savane serves very good food. And if you like one day something different to the creole food, try this restaurant. While sitting on the pleasent terrace close to the sea, with a nice breeze from the ocean enjoy the very good and fresh food. For us it has a touch of good belgium citchen. Try... More

This restaurant is a little more "upmarket" in terms of cuisine and decor, but still very good value. Meal was excellent and the house wine, in particular, was lovely. HIghly recommend this restaurant.

The owner are from Portugal, their kitchen is a " metiz" between european and carribean, interesting and flaworful. Location perfect, just at see, tables not to near one to the next, service nice, even if a bit chaotic, the evening we were there, as two new people working their first day.
