Late lunch

Had a late lunch here. On being handed the menu we were told no Pizza and no prawns?, although on the menu. Had various Tapas, all good, steak, tuna, tiger wood chicken salad etc. Very nice setting in small square under an olive tree.

We were 4 people ordering four different dishes and we all thought it tasted lovely. I was especially satisfied with the Altea Salad. It was nice and quiet to sit eating outside there, but they also have tables inside. The service was great and the toilets were nice and clean too.

Perfect location in the Old Town of Altea! We had the Tiger Woods salad with warm chicken in soy sauce - we'll come back for this one! Truly one of the best salads I've had for a long time! The avocado with prawns was perfect as well! And if you've got a sweet tooth - round it all off with... More

Visited this place at lunchtime to avoid the rain today, absolute gem of a find. We split a selection of tapas between the four in our group and all were of excellent quality. The waiter was attentive, very friendly and had generally had an excellent manner. We were reluctant to leave!

The place is situated in the old town on a small square whith great atmposphere. I wanted a place where I can have sangria, and it looked perfect..yes, but sangria was bad, tapas you need to order at least 3, because they are like something your 2 year old made for its doll- small and nothing impressive..I saw the disappointment of... Came to this restaurant one afternoon for pizza. Ordered drinks and then we were told that the only thing they did not have was pizza!! Not great as would not have ordered drinks if we were told before hand.

Gorgeous shady spot, friendly staff, and very generous portions. More like raciones than tapas. I had the potato tortilla and vegetable skewer, and my husband had the croquetas and huevos rotos (broken eggs) with chorizo. Way too much food and a delicious start to the day. Open from 11am.

It was pretty average in terms of menu offerings and quality. It was a little expensive for how small the portions are. I ordered a salad, and my husband ordered a couple tapas and a pizza. It was pretty good, but nothing really special about it. The service was fine. It felt a little like a tourist trap. It was... More
