Very nice restaurant although it was the lovely roof top terrace with excellent views that contributed to the 'Very Good' review rating. We choose this restaurant for the grilled meats and between us we tried the lamb chops, sirloin and filet steaks. All were good but just not as tasty as we were expecting. However, when it came to desserts the... More

It's always been difficult to get a decent meal at a reasonable price in Altea. But the lure of the pretty whitewashed houses and the cobbled streets, the tasteful boutiques, the church square and stalls, the view over the bay etc drew us back again in hope. We did try to go to the Morrocan restaurant Ca Mezquida, reviewed here,... More

Just off main square. Terrace dining is pleasant with a lovely view but the small enclosed area traps smoke from adjacent diners which can irritate. We had sea bass, turbot and entrecôte which were all very good and well presented, although wished we'd tried the day's special: suckling pig. Desserts were a disappointment, especially the cheesecake; and lovely homemade ice... More

And so we were back and the restaurant had changed ownership. Now, just a normal restaurant with the typical small turist traps you will find; charging and in this case over charging the bread, 6 € for the sauce to the meat, so instead of 18€ it was 24€ for that course and then the 10% extra charge on top... Only positive, attention good, quality of food very good and the restaurant nice and well situated. Just a few details to make better and who knows if a fork of Michelin or more is close - we have not have a better price quality relation in a long time. Keep up the good work - Thank you! We will be... More

Read about this place in Tripadvisor and decided to check it out. It was a good decision. Ask for a table on the terrace with a beautiful view to the ocean. It's very cosy and even in early April it's not cold at night, as it is very protected. The owner himself was at our service throughout the dinner. He... More

I chose this restaurant, based on the good reviews, for a special birthday treat for my partner. On entering the restaurant, we thought we could have been greeted more warmly by the proprietor. We were the only diners in the restaurant (nobody else came in during the entire evening). The room was chilly and we had to ask for the... More

We visited this establishment for my birthday and everything was superb. We each got a different course of meat, (lamb and beef) and the flavors were rich and succulent, we kept trying each others meal and could not decide which was best. We accompanied our meal with a bottle of Ramon Bilbao which was equally as smooth as the food.... More
