We sourced out the New Glasgow Lobster Supper prior to heading to PEI because we wanted an authentic experience.....and we were not disappointed. The parking lot said everything given that it was 4:30 pm and already full to the brim. If you don't like standing in line, then go early. At 5:30 pm the lineup was so long that it... More

We wanted to experience the Lobster Supper of PEI and you get it here. This is a family dinner style restaurant, think Ponderosa with table service. The chowder is really good as everyone says. The adult meals are a little pricey but kids are quite reasonable so it works out for a family. You won't go away hungry as most... More

1st impression from the outside, I actually thought that it was a community centre but since it was recommended by someone, we decided to give it a try. The inside looks like a mess hall. We paid at the door and were quickly seated. Received the soup and chowder, very bland and unappealing. The tomato basil soup tasted like canned... More

Took in the lobster dinner on our last night in PEI - so glad we did! Had a ridiculous amount of food for the price, and it was so tasty! We were there on a Monday around 5 so missed the line up. I had the 1 lb lobster, when combined with all the other courses was more than enough!... More

You've got to go ... seriously, this is a magical experience. It's just so different for a Kiwi all the way from New Zealand. You get to the door at 3.50pm and line up because there are so many people already there waiting for the door to open at 4pm. You get in to the main lobby area and choose... More

Our tour group of 40+ stopped here on a recent evening for their acclaimed lobster dinner. The restaurant had another large group the same evening and both groups were seated in a lower level dining room with no decor and ambience ( I have been to nicer church basements). The chowder was good, the lobster was good and the mussels... More

We have been to PEI many times but never have eaten here until this trip. The reason we waited for so long was that we erroneously thought that this was too touristy a place to visit. We were wrong. The food was very good: all you can eat seafood chowder, mussels and homemade rolls. There is a choice of lobster... More

There are a number of lobster supper restaurants on the Island. This is our favourite. The atmosphere is casual and perfect for a nice family meal. The seafood chowder was great. Do not get the tomato-based soup, though (apparently it tastes like ketchup!). The fresh homemade rolls were delivered nice and warm and were delicious. The all you can eat... More

New Glasgow was a great experience - the server we had was so nice and did a great job, and the food was really good and extremely plentiful! Although the atmosphere wasn't what I had hoped for (the cafeteria style leaves a bit to be desired), the rolls, chowder, mussels, salads, lobster and scallops were all great. We left feeling... I had been to New Glasgow Lobster Super twice, once in 2007 on a trip I had taken with my family and had to come back in September of 2013 when I came back to PEI on a trip with my partner. The lobster supper did not disappoint! Our server was very nice and always around to take away used... More
