a very pleasant family meal

We visited this restaurant at 6:30 on a Saturday evening. It was quite busy, with two waitresses who were both very pleasant. The children ordered burgers and chips and chicken gougons which were all homemade and tasty. We had steaks which were good and the sauce and accompaniments were very good... read more

Simply shocking. I reviewed this place a few months back and gave a well deserved glowing review. However the place has done a complete 180 in terms of food and service. Soup was tasteless and only lukewarm, coffee cup was badly stained, main course curry was only average and again tasteless and bland. Definitely no salt and pepper anywhere to... More

It's so refreshing when a new restaraunt opens with a great menu and good quality food but it's rare that a couple of years later, after success has been achieved that the standard and enthusiasm is still so evident as it is at bramley lodge. I'm a picky vegetarian who knows how to cook well, so my expectations are high... More

Ordered a poached eggs breakfast with brown toast and extra egg here with tea. My eggs came out on a plate with no garnish or anything else accompanying them and swimming in water that I had to mop up with my napkin. After I had to ask for my toast it arrived 5/6 minutes later with tea. The toast was... More

Have been to this restaurant many times, and the service is very hit and miss depending on who's working. When I was here a few weeks ago with a friend the service wasn't great usually the food makes up for this, but on this occasion the good was disappointing. It tasted fine, but we both ordered the seafood starter combo,... More

Visited 29/4/15 for a peaceful (rare) breakfast with Husband after dropping kids to school. Made our way to table while waitress finished her chat. Waited. And waited. And waited. She eventually appeared with food for the table beside us and the natural next step in basic waitressing is to turn to our table and take our order. No. She cleared... More

Ideal stop off on the way to Fota Wildlife Park. Great selection of freshly prepared food, sandwiches or a meal, or just a tea and scone. Lovely, bright conservatory which seats quite a lot. When the sun is out it gets very hot! Car parking at rear. About a five minute drive from the entrance to the Park so good... More

Great food and great service, a restaurant that deserves another visit. From the outside you would not expect to find inside a quality restaurant. They also have a little shop where you can just buy food of delicious cakes to take home.
