Last Saturday night we went there with some friends over from England to show off some traditional french cuisine but the place was shuttered and locked up. The menus and photographs and press cuttings on display on the wall outside had been removed. Sadly it seems that this great restaurant has closed after so many years. A great shame, sadly... More

This place is special, how could a restaurant possibly get away with having the same menu for 47 years, because it`s special!!!! You wont taste fish soup the same as this, (& believe me I have eaten plenty) it`s all made freshly in house, & the mussels unusually cooked, with vegetables, the best I have tasted at any place bar... Lived up to its reputation for a very traditional meal in a great location on the river Herault. Service was attentive and the food excellent. A simple menu choice, meat or fish for the main course. The #1 Fish soup was fabulous, #2 Mussels were plentiful; #3 Terrine of Duck was served from a 'take as much as you like'... More

Yes, that's the choice of menu for this restaurant: a very simple five course meal of fish soup; mussels with ratouille, and then pate. This was followed by a choice of one meat or fish main dish and desert. This menu is 17.5 euros per person. Wine comes in a choice of, red, rose or white carafe - we paid 6... More

My late husband had visited this restaurant some 40 years ago, and while on a family holiday we found it again, we all had a most memorable time sitting on the waters edge in the sunshine having fish soup, and mussels cooked in vegetables! it was so good we went again a few days later. Hope to go again soon... More

The meal is at a set price and there is no menu as such. You can have meat or fish, a carafe of red, white or rose! The food is good and cooked fresh every day.

First visited 20 years ago. Wonderfully unchanged, except for cleaning, of course. Yes it's simple, but that's the charm and food is ditto but all the better for it. Take a detour , relax and have a wonderful evening. And hope to catch impromptu singalong!!!?

Recently visited this restaurant and it is indeed basic. Sat outside on the floating barge and although i do not like fish soup, the rest of the food was very well cooked and there was a good ambience there. Apparently the menu hasnt changed in 46 years i found it very filling and worth the money (around 17 euros) If... More

we book it, because of it rating on tripadvisor. But we were little bit disappointed, Restaurant was really over crowded, so it was so noise, that it was completely impossible to talk to each other. With the food may be we were simply out of luck - soup and mussels was so salty, that it was hard to enjoy them, So... More

Yes it's predictable. Yes it's intimate, sitting cheek by jowl with people you soon meet. But my meal not up to the reputation this place is supposed to have. The fish soup was very good. This was followed by mussels and overcooked vegetables in a thick floury sauce that rapidly congealed. Main course was fish, and mine was raw on... More
