Comforting food

Though the restaurant is stated to open at 12pm, we were invited in 10 minutes earlier. We opted for the curry shrimp and baked duck rice, with a jug of sangria. Some warm bread, the baked rice and sangria came within 10 mins, and the curry shrimp about 5 mins later. A generous serving of shrimps... read more

Visited for lunch mid-week and ordered the octopus salad, duck rice and chorizo/cheese plate. The octopus salad was good - a little too much oil in it, but a generous amount of fresh octopus. The duck rice was dry and underwhelming. The chorizo plate wasn't on the menu, but very good. Overall the good was fine, not worth the higher... More

After reading reviews of how crowded the restaurant can get we decided to go for a late lunch, around 2 o'clock, and were able to get a table straight away. The food was quite good and the portions were actually larger than I expected. I loved the decor and the staff was very friendly. At the end of our meal... More

We had two nights in Macau and spent both dinner nights at O Santos. Both nights (W&Th) around 2000, we walked in and got a table. Olives and bread were promptly served. We ordered the house Red which we felt was very nice. The first night lamb and clams and a sausage dish with ham and an egg was ordered,... More

Still one reference in good food. Specialist in welcome you and give you the very portuguese taste. The most difficult task is get a table but try you can be surprised. One spot to 'check in' in Taipa Macau.

Had to get there early. Otherwise you have to wait in line because the restaurant is small. Overall, the food was great. We definitely will go back to eat if we had a chance

Reasonably priced, good service and delicious comfort food. Suckling pig one of the best I've had. If I'm going back to Macau, I will visit this again.

We had baked cod and a sausage stew. Both were simply delicious! The place had a nice atmosphere and bustle about it. The service was unusually responsive for the region....overall a great experience!

O Santos is the best Portuguese restaurant in Macau as would be one of the best in any other part of the world... including Portugal. The food is delicious. It's the real Portuguese food (starters, meat dishes, fish dishes, desserts...). The wine list also have the best options from all the different regions of the country. And the place is... More

Great food, really delicious. Good service, wonderful atmosphere. Very friendly owner. Thoroughly recommend if you go to Macau, definitely worth the journey from Coloane or Macau. Great for kids, owner was so kind to them.
