Memorable lunch

Very nice environment and great services. Tried the five courses lunch tasting menu, fresh salmon appetizer was so tender. Melon gazpacho was very juice like and a very new tasting experience. Quail with liver and cognac was also unique in Asia. Cheeses were great!

This restaurant enjoys a good reputation but I think it is overrated. When I had lunch there it took 2.5 hrs, it took forever, and we just ordered some a la carte dishes, nothing fancy like a tasting menu or so. The restaurant was empty, I actually think they are never really busy. There were in total 4 tables, enough... More

As I am about to leave Macau after many years living here, last week´s lunch at The Tasting Room was certainly an amazing experience I will take with me and a great way to say goodbye to the city. Exactly a week ago, I met with a good friend for lunch at The Tasting Room, we had a reservation and... More

Went for lunch with some friends and totally enjoyed the dining experience. The panorama view, attentive service and elegant food pairing makes this restaurant one of the best i tried in macao.

I haven't been back for a while, but have been visiting the restaurant since chef Galliot was behind the stoves when it was still Horizons and how dishes have evolved - but kept the excellent consistency - only that it gets better each time! We left it up to the chef and had a five course menu at lunch. We... More

This Saturday, a friend and I were in Macau to see a performance by jazz legends Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock. Such an elegant event merited a correspondingly sophisticated dinner, and we made reservations for The Tasting Room, a Michelin-starred haute cuisine escape from the crowds of Cotai. On arrival, we were welcomed by the aroma of roasting cacao, and... More

Been there for lunch on 31 May. Booked online and since we arrived 15 mins earlier, we still need to sit at the lobby to wait for the table. Food is just okay, but not impressed nor satisfied in terms of a michelin restaurant. There are few tables with sofa facing the window which is nice!

Rubochon is always a pain to book and has been turning me down for lunch so I have been going to the tasting room for my last three visits. I reckon tasting room and rubochon is about the same.. but its set lunch is about $200hkd cheaper. The restaurant has nice decor.. food is avant garde.. but service is really... More
