Great!

Cold, wet weather is never a good combination. But there we were... Cold, wet and hungry! So we skittled down the street for somewhere to have a drink and a bite to eat. Wow! At the recommendation of their neighbours, we found MacauSoul! Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. The "English Pint" was... read more

I'd like to echo the sentiments of the last reviewer. Macau Soul is, indeed, a Macau must. And perhaps more than that, it's an Asia must. When Michelin awards 3 stars to a restaurant, they say it "warrants making a special journey for". For wine connoisseurs, Macau Soul deserves the same distinction, and I don't care where you are. If... More

David and Jacky (the proprietors) of this lovely little establishment have gone to a great deal of trouble to create a "Macao MUST"!!! If you are planning a visit, book your table well in advance. We had a simply splendid evening!!! :-)

We spent an hour looking for MacauSoul, based on a Lonely Planet recommendation. It exceeded our expectations. We came to MacauSoul before opening hours, but David (one of the owners) opened the doors to us anyway. What we found was a beautifully furnished, comfortable, lounge. The owners really made the experience for me. Hospitality such as which is on offer... More

The two owners are lovely. They clearly have seen Macau through the years and have a fascinating perspective of local history and urban change. The atmosphere is also outstanding. I rarely am compelled to write a review but I simply cannot recommend this place enough.

We stopped in for a glass of wine, and stayed for the amazing cheese platter, bread, meat, salad and of course wine. An absolute delight to chill here for hours in this beautiful space filled with treasures. David knows and loves his wine, and helped us choose from the unfamiliar Portuguese wines. The detail and care taken with everything really... More

As a world traveler and wine lover, I love this wine lounge more than any places on earth. Before I only went to Macau sporadically to see my family and friends, and I used to have a hard time to find a cozy place to hang out since too many cheesy and overpriced bars out there. Since I found this... More

This elite bar is not for everyone (see the obvious). It's more like the private bar of a genuine club; NOT of a pay-and-we-love-you bar, not a sleaze bar, no,no, no, and it's NOT A CHAIN!!! Like the vagaries of nature, now you see it, now you don't, in an extraordinary little cobblestoned street below the Ruins of St Paul's,... More

We were looking forward to having a relaxing drink here and maybe something to snack on. We waited to be seated as we didn't just want to sit anywhere and the place had a few tables occupied already. We were approached by the owner (we assumed) and asked for a table for 4 to have some drinks, only to be... More
