David and Jacky (the proprietors) of this lovely little establishment have gone to a great deal of trouble to create a "Macao MUST"!!! If you are planning a visit, book your table well in advance. We had a simply splendid evening!!! :-)

We spent an hour looking for MacauSoul, based on a Lonely Planet recommendation. It exceeded our expectations. We came to MacauSoul before opening hours, but David (one of the owners) opened the doors to us anyway. What we found was a beautifully furnished, comfortable, lounge. The owners really made the experience for me. Hospitality such as which is on offer... More

The two owners are lovely. They clearly have seen Macau through the years and have a fascinating perspective of local history and urban change. The atmosphere is also outstanding. I rarely am compelled to write a review but I simply cannot recommend this place enough.

We stopped in for a glass of wine, and stayed for the amazing cheese platter, bread, meat, salad and of course wine. An absolute delight to chill here for hours in this beautiful space filled with treasures. David knows and loves his wine, and helped us choose from the unfamiliar Portuguese wines. The detail and care taken with everything really... More

As a world traveler and wine lover, I love this wine lounge more than any places on earth. Before I only went to Macau sporadically to see my family and friends, and I used to have a hard time to find a cozy place to hang out since too many cheesy and overpriced bars out there. Since I found this... More

This elite bar is not for everyone (see the obvious). It's more like the private bar of a genuine club; NOT of a pay-and-we-love-you bar, not a sleaze bar, no,no, no, and it's NOT A CHAIN!!! Like the vagaries of nature, now you see it, now you don't, in an extraordinary little cobblestoned street below the Ruins of St Paul's,... More

We were looking forward to having a relaxing drink here and maybe something to snack on. We waited to be seated as we didn't just want to sit anywhere and the place had a few tables occupied already. We were approached by the owner (we assumed) and asked for a table for 4 to have some drinks, only to be... More

Stumbled upon this gorgeous little haven almost in desperation after enduring a biblical downpour whilst wandering around the historical centre and finding ourselves in much need of refuge before catching the ferry back to Hong Kong. Felt truly looked after by the attentive and most charming manager/owner, who came to the rescue with a reparatory half bottle of very nice... More

This is a wonderful little gem right around corner from St. Paul Cathedral ruins, a local tourist hotspot. Wonderful hosts have an excellent collection of Portuguese wines and Port - they are passionate about it and more than happy to share their knowledge... Try the Pata Negra / Cheeses & Davids legendary home-made bread. Enjoy this wonderful tranquil haven away... More
