Has been rebuilt to look like both the ruins of Ancient Rome and old Portuguese buildings, nice to sit near the water for an evening meal.

It was always the best Portuguese restaurant in Taipa, what a pity now is closed. The chef liked to use grapes a lot in sauce which was special and we like it a lot. Hope they will open in another venue in Taipa.

Porto de Macau offers fine dining portuguese cuisine at good value. Their dishes are quite unique and different from those typical portuguese food. The fish soup and the mint chicken soup were very nice. Their roaster suckling pig, special of the day, tasted great. We ordered three dishes (two main courses, one appetizer) and two soups, which costed around MOP600.... More

Nice and humble place in Macau. Food is traditionnal, Plate are big. You pay for what you eat. You may consider to share main plate unless you are starving. Try it, you will not be desapointed.

On our last night in Macao we were taken to this restaurant by a friend who lives nearby. And we had what was probably our best meal here. On this occasion we were also fortunate to be entertained by a brilliant Fado singer from Portugal and her wonderful accompanists. This made for a wonderful evening but it would have been... More

This is a pleasant restaurant on Taipa Island, a short taxi ride across the bridge from the main city centre. We chose the lamb shank and the salmon from the menu, and neither dish disappointed. The salmon was perfectly cooked, not overdone as offered by many establishments; and the meat just ‘fell’ of the shank and on to the plate... More

Portuguese cuisine is among the best in the world. However, what you find in many Macau restaurants announcing "Portuguese food" is not the real stuff. The Porto de Macau serves authentic Portuguese food with a creative twist, thanks to chef Gil Raposo, who worked formerly in the Four Seasons hotels. I went with a friend and we tried the fish... I stumbled upon PdM by mistake, looking for the former French restaurant Le Bistrot in this location. PdM opened in February 2011. The owner chef, Gil RAPOSO, from Duro Portugal, is from the 4 Seasons Macau so he is well trained in cooking and running a kitchen. His staff (Filipinos/as) is well trained and friendly also. The restaurant was full... More
