I have no time to go to Coloane Town Sq. so I went to Lord Stow's Bakery at Venetian Hotel on 16 December, 2014 morning; the tart is really good but the coffee here is very very disappointed. No aroma and so thin looks like they dilute one cup into three! Hope they can improve it then the egg tart... More

We took a bus from Taipa no. 26A to Coloane Village. From this classic shop was having long queue, they are just here for this tart and each cost about MOP 9. If the original shop is busy, you can looks for another new cafe concept nearby to enjoy their tart. WORTH TO TRY. Two dumbs up!

Egg custard is smooth and creamy with a nice but not over-powering buttery taste about it. Nice caramalised top and really crispy flaky pastry sums up this humble tart! Great tasting even when cold!

If you are pressed for time and cannot visit the original shop at Coloane, you can try the shop at the Venetian Hotel. Its quite a distance to travel to this place but its quite quaint. A sleepy quiet enclave within Macau. The egg tarts hot from the oven is a must try. You can sit in the cafe too... More

This traditional shop is in a remote location of Coloane Village but the it's worth every effort there. The banner says the Portuguese egg tart originated there so it has to be good. Try the fresh egg tart with a cup of tea at a small cafe just behind the bakery and you'll not regret it.

If you come to Macau, you should try this cake shop. I found this shop at Venetian and really fall in love with their egg tarts and my husband loves their angel cake that very smooth texture. A must cake to buy when you are at Macau.

Went to Coloane from Macau peninsular by bus, buses are frequent but try to avoid peak hours coz there's construction nearby that you can hardly get a bus stop by when it's full. We got the freshly baked Portuguese egg tart & it's super yummy that I easily had 3 of them and regretted later that I didn't buy more.... More

A visit to MACAU is not complete without the bus ride down to Coloane to the original bakery. We had a fabulous meal in the area and then popped into the bakery to purchase our desert. We sat under a tree and tucked into the warm, delicious tarts and thought about Lord Stow. It made a great ending to a... More

I wanted to go to the original bakery. It was a long bus ride from Taipa (we had lunch there first). I think it would have been better to take the taxi there. There was a line there but the line goes fast. We got a dozen egg tarts that were still warm with a flaky, crispy shell. It was... More

It says on the window that this is the very first store that introduce the Portuguese egg tart by Lord Stow. Take a bus down to Coloane downtown and this place is only 2 minutes walk away, I went on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. Egg tart is HKD$8 each, not expensive at all.
