So we had to try the egg tarts...

After reading about Lord Stows Bakery in numerous guidebooks and travel magazines, we had to try the egg tarts here. It is a very cute little landmark and hugely successful (there are two cafes as well, which we didn't realize...might be nicer to sit down). You can take your drink and egg tart... read more

Without doubt, there is only one place for egg tart - Lord Stowe's. Very simple place, packed and crowded all the time. The egg tart is delicious and one of the best in the world. the Café as such is not really worth the wait, just go and grab an egg tart.

it is a long way out of Macau town but Lord Stows Bakery is situated in a quaint seaside village and is the home of the Portuguese Egg Tart. There are tarts in town, but if you can get to try these you should.

Portuguese egg tarts were definitely one of item on our holiday list to tick , and tick we did...We tasted them everywhere, but the general concensus was that Lord Stows Bakery's were the tastiest. The locations were good as well, at The Venetian as well as in The Town Square...Friendly staff and everything was very fresh.

If you are visiting Coloane, this is the shop (the first/original shop) that you should stop by. Their Portuguese egg tarts are famous throughout Asia (as they claimed in the advertisement). Whether you are or not a fan of egg tart, please give a try to the Portuguese egg tart from this bakery shop. I am sure you will love... More

We went looking for the Church of Saint Francis Xavier, and Lord Stow's was on our next stop on the list, when we got off the bus we stopped to ask for directions and ended up walking into Lord Stow's. The staff helped us with directions and then we returned for lunch and the most wonderful egg tarts. Our lunch... More

It can be a suprise for a lot of people. maybe this can be the first spot to produced the "portuguese pastel de nata"in Macau. For some people it can be tasty. For other people it can be the 'history' of the place that became famous all around. But to be very honest: there are better "pastel de nata "... More

We simply loved the egg tarts of this place! Andrew Stow, an English pharmacist opened this place. He knew how Portuguese egg tarts are made. The Portuguese egg tarts were evolved from ‘pastel de nata‘, a traditional Portuguese custard pastry. His employees called him Lord and that's why the name Lord Stow’s Bakery. We visited the shop and were awestruck... More

Pastel de nata is one of the most favorite food in Macau, which originally came from Portgual. The Lord Stows Bakey selling probably the best Pastel da nata in Macau. Since there are always customers waiting to buy, the Pastel da nata is always freshly baked!

We simply loved the egg tarts. We went to their cafe in Sands resorts 3 times during our stay. Not too sweet with a crispy puff pastry base. Great with coffee!
