I'm a longtime fan of egg/custard tarts, so when I heard that it was a regional specialty in Macau and Hong Kong, I really did get my hopes up. Some of the first ones that I tried in Hong Kong were generic and disappointing, to be honest... Similar to what I can get in chain bakeries in Korea. When I... More

The egg tart is a delightful treat. Chocolate lovers like myself might be turned off by the thought of eating a custard-like substance, but don't jump to conclusions. It is definitely worth trying. But I've learned that the egg tart is best when very warm, or fresh out of the oven. Coloane is the epitome of charming, and it's not... More

There are several Lord Stows in Macau, so was confused if this location was still even open (Google maps kept pointing me to the Venetian). I had planned to do a walk around Coloane and jumped out of the taxi and saw the bakery. The bakery itself was rather rushed, line up march in, pay, grab tart leave.... the tart... More

Went to the original Lord Stow's this New Year's Day and got the best egg tart in Macau. You can buy them freshly baked and we loved them. Tourists should not miss this place.

Egg tart here is so amazingly good.... Different type with you can get in Hong Kong or china... But i like here the most... Crispy outside, and soft inside... Even not a problem when i take 1 box going home to Indonesia ! The shop at venetian is just helping you a lot... Making easy to get... Cheers

I have no time to go to Coloane Town Sq. so I went to Lord Stow's Bakery at Venetian Hotel on 16 December, 2014 morning; the tart is really good but the coffee here is very very disappointed. No aroma and so thin looks like they dilute one cup into three! Hope they can improve it then the egg tart... More

We took a bus from Taipa no. 26A to Coloane Village. From this classic shop was having long queue, they are just here for this tart and each cost about MOP 9. If the original shop is busy, you can looks for another new cafe concept nearby to enjoy their tart. WORTH TO TRY. Two dumbs up!

Egg custard is smooth and creamy with a nice but not over-powering buttery taste about it. Nice caramalised top and really crispy flaky pastry sums up this humble tart! Great tasting even when cold!
