Not up to my expectation

After reading the reviews on Antonio's, I decided to try the place especially since I was craving for African Chicken even before I arrive in Macau. I went there on a rainy night, and after searching for it, I finally found it tucked away in a small alley. I had high expectations, given the... read more

The Portugese food at this restaurant is authentic, and the whole atmosphere makes you feel in Portugal. The dishes are all well prepared, and as a tip you should ask Antonio to dish up his delights for your table. You will not be dissapointed. The sweets are excellent as is the Portugese wines and Port. Ask Antonio to do his... More

This was our third trip to Antonio's. We had a group of 14 people, and were offered a table in the wine cellar. We were greeted by Antonio as usual and shown down to the cellar. Its a great environment for large groups and more spacious than the main restaurant. Great food as usual and friendly fun waiting staff, happy... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Macau, made perfect by visiting Antonio's restaurant. The staff are friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and, as many have said, attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious, I especially loved meeting chef Antonio who personally explained all the dishes to us. It will definitely be my first point of call on my return trip to... More

The place is small with a European feel to it. Antonio and the staff is very friendly. The first time I went there, the place was quite full and Antonio let us have the chef's table. He even showed us the kitchen upstairs (which is extremely clean). When we said we were too full to order dessert (coz the other... More

Due to the recommondation of our hotel went went to Antonio for lunch. The interior is "Old Europe", the staff very friendly. I can't understand the commends about the "unfriendly" owner. In our case he was very friendly. I asked him for the best dessert and he recommended. In addition we got a glass of dessert wine on him. The... More

I am surprised to see so many low reviews of this restaurant. We dined here a couple of weeks ago as a party of 13 and had a thoroughly great time. Antonio personally greeted us and planned a tasting banquet of various entrees and mains to feed the group. Food portions were very large and every one of them tasted... More

we were expecting more and were underwhelmed. Certainly based on what we had read about the restaurant, we were expecting a special meal and it failed to deliver. Can't win them all!

Menu is exactly the same as Espaco Lisboa but unfortunately the food quality is nowhere near as good. Location is convenient, staff are friendly and the general environment is nice.

This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. For the few hours I was in there I felt like I was back in the Med. The food was rustic, tasty and there was plenty of it. Wine selection was good. There seemed to be a lot of locals in there which is normally a good sign.... More
