Bright and friendly

Had a light lunch there today soon after they opened at 12 noon. Were not busy (today is Wednesday.) Staff attentive and efficient. White tablecloths and cleverly folded wet washcloth to freshen up. I ordered simple staple dishes: steamed roast pork buns and luobo gao. Nicely presented and tasy... read more

Cantonese food, no western to speak of, so do not let name fool you. Cost $A50+ each with 1 drink. None of us finished meal, but if you like this style of Chinese cuisine could be for you. Staff tried very hard but English issue. Wouldn't go again but as inside hotel convenient location.

I do not award 5* lightly, but this restaurant deserves it. We stopped here for dinner without reservations. Even though they were full, they quickly cleared a table for us. The waitresses were attentive, polite, and spoke excellent English. We ordered the glazed ribs [so good, I still crave them]., The Lo Mein with slivered fresh pork [my wife said... More

the fried rice with the crab meat is a must try. the price is reasonable. 3 of us spent $300++ macau currency. This is so cheap compare to the meal that I had the previous day at Beijing kitchen at City of Dreams. Better service, and tastier meal. The only downside is that the hotel is quite old, so you... It was 1st October and also the final round of the Annual fireworks festival. I made a reservation requesting a table with a view of the fireworks over the Nam Van Lake. When we arrived, the main dining room was empty, but we were led to the only table (out of 4) which did not have a view. After some... More

Dinner at this restaurant in the Hotel Lisboa in Macau. This was an interesting meal, with a couple of dishes that I struggled a bit with, but overall I liked it and I think I can see why it is well regarded. The service was very attentive. We went on a public holiday, so I thought it would be busy,... More

The well-known Tao Fa Yuen in Hong Kong has a very long waiting list, while its sister branch in Macau known as Tim’s kitchen offers good alternative. Though tables are limited, you may still try your luck by just walk-in for lunch as we did last time. Highly recommended Crystal prawn (mega size), crab claw, and snake soup available starting... The crab claw was... More
