For the delectable Portuguese Egg Tarts and a quiet time away from the city

Located in Coloane, the south-most island of the Macau region - it will take at least 30 minutes to an hour to get there depending on where you start. I travelled for more than 45 minutes on a public bus from Macau peninsula, passing Taipa before reaching Coloane. It was a rather pleasant ride as I... read more

This is a great little cafe in Coloane, owned by the Lord Stow bakery group. It's small and a bit difficult to get a table, but well worth the wait because the menu is quite good. The service is excellent and the food is always tasty - both meat and vegetarian items. If it's too crowded they have a very... More

As some reviewers point out, there are three Lord Stowe shops in Coloane. The cafe opposite the bus stop, the small bakery shop, and the cafe around the corner from the bakery by the promenade. This is one I am reviewing. One of my favourite cafes in Macau, it is small cosy and has great food. The food is mainly... More

One of the only true (5 star) foods to try in Macau would be Lord Stow's egg tarts (MOP 9) found in Coloane Village. We sometimes visit Coloane just for the tarts alone they are so good. Lord Stow's egg tarts are very well made and they sell enough that they are constantly baking, ensuring you will have access to... More

We stopped by Lord Stow's Garden Cafe (the outlet on Rua da Cordoaria near the 26A bus stop) for a snack during our visit to Coloane. I should have gone to the bakery instead. The egg tart was excellent and I would order it again. The crust is flaky and the custard is creamy and delicious. I noticed that the... More

Lord Stow has three outlets in Coloane, the famous bakery where one can get egg tarts on take away as well as two Cafes. We chose to go to the older one which we know for several years. A great resting point as we had decided to have a longer walk at the beach at Hac Sa and its rocky... More

This is a good cafe. But if you are here for the egg tart, just go to the bakery and grab the hot ones just out of the oven. They do heat the egg tarts before serving here at this cafe, but they are not as hot as the ones at bakery. We tried at both place and the hot... More

Place "numero uno" to get an egg tart in Macau. It's not easy to get there for a foreigner though. Just take any bus to Coloane Village and you will end up there eventually.

After reading so many reviews i finally completed the Herculean task of finding this bakery in Venetian and the prize that awaited was delicious. Egg Tarts at their best. Even more amazing when served too hot. Loved them.
