Lovely food and very helpful staff

We came here as we were staying in a nearby hotel and had read good reviews. The staff were very helpful and were able to offer me some vegetarian options. I had the Portuguese vegetable curry and it was delicious and spicy. The portions are very big so next time we would order a dish to share... read more

In another review I said that Lord Stow's Bakery made the trip to Macau worth it...and it really did...this place made it that we wanted to go back...just for this The African chicken...holy cow...flavorful, tender chicken...stewed sort of like a Pollo Guisado if you know Latin cooking...lots of spices in the dish so the only downside is you'll be tasting... A long-established Portuguese restaurant. The food is good but not exceptional - the fish curry is one of the better dishes. Also try the king prawn and sardines but give the African chiecken a miss - too boney. Selection of Portuguese wine But quite expensive compared to other Portuguese restaurants about USD100 a head. They close at 10:00 so get... More

Accidentally found this restaurant while taking the walking trails with my family from Macau Tower to A-ma temple. Stopped by for late lunch and the friendly waiter recommended their African chicken and fruit wine. We added a baked pork chop with spaghetti and a Caesar salad with pan fried salmon. The servings were generous and taste wise was fantastic. The... More

Henri's has been around for quite a long time now... its difficult to get there especially if you do not drive a its a bit out of the main stretch. But most taxi drivers will know this place just get the cantonese name of the place right. Under high recommendations, we prebooked the roasted suckling pig dish (not on menu)... More

African chicken is made with a peanut and paprika sauce. Food was good. However we asked the staff 3 times to get us a cab ready. They were unwilling to arrange one until we finished eating everything and paid the bill. Then they called and started freaking out because we told them we need to get on a boat in... More

The menu has hardly changed in 30 years. A trip to Macau is not complete without a meal at Henri's. Don't miss the Singapore noodles with spicy prawns, washed down with Casal Garcia.

Came across this place through our lonely planet guide for which it came highly recommended. We arranged for a booking through our hotel and we're able to get a place that night. The venue is slightly off the main drag of Central Macau but that kind of adds to it's charm. The decor is kitch with a real sailor feel.... More

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Henri's the other night. The African chicken is truly amazing and was featured in Gourmet Magazine. We also ordered several other dishes all of which were delicious. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful even offer to call a taxi at the end of our meal (unheard of in Macau).

We spent a day touring Macau and were really looking for a more Western or European lunch. We saw a great Portuguese influence on Macau and decided this cuisine would be it. An attendant at The Venetian suggested Henri's Galley and made a reservation for us, gave us the restaurant information on cards written in both English and Cantonese, and... More
