When I had work and was staying at the Grand Lisboa lunching here was my favorite choice. Trust me when I say that in time to come, Don Alfonso 1890 (Macau) will get a star of its own.

This is our first time at this restaurant. We had a very helpful Italian Maitre who showed us the extensive wine list on an ipad. We found it a bit difficult having to use the ipad, as we had to scroll up and down the list. The wine took some time to arrive, having being hidden in some secret vault.... More

We were in Macau for the day from Hong Kong and went in the rather spectacular Lisboa Center in search of a nice place for lunch. Don Alfonso turned out to be so much more - an oasis of tasteful, understated elegance with an exceptionally talented and creative chef, a superb waiter and attentive dining room staff. Absolutely top drawer... More

A place away from the hustle and bustle of Macau. A place to enjoy excellent food, finest cutlery, beautiful ambience, good services. I really love the experience.

After being to Santa Agata three-starred restaurant I was curious about their Macau branch. So I went for lunch there with my GF. We were immediately welcomed by very nice Maitre Salvatore (who spotted I am Italian!). He gave us a FANTASTIC service and helped all along with food and wine. The dining room is not very beautiful, but food... More

As it's a star winning restaurant in South Italy, I expected much when I decided to drop by at lunch. Nicely decorated with a good atmosphere, good services. Some dishes were excellent such as the tuscan vegetable soup, Goose Liver & Pear Ravioli and the seafood linguini. The Iberian pork chop as well as the Ossobuco wwere a letdown, not... More

The decor is magnificent and the attention of Salavatore, the restaurant manager is excellent. Waitresses could smile more. Menu is a bit limited and also some dishes contain alcohol which limits choice if you cannot have alcohol. The private room can send out too much noise. This is a special experience for the decor and the quality of the food... More

Don Alfonso is an elegant restaurant, The decor is classical European with chandeliers, the tables are nicely spaced. The wine list is huge, unless you really know what you want, you will want to rely on sommelier to help you out. We ordered a la carte, all the dishes were very nice in presentation and the taste was defined and... More

We booked through concierge but on arrival got told they had no booking.. The later took us to the top floor - private room. Great and we had views of Galaxy casino on a rainy blistering Saturday night. The staff was excellent, recommended a nice bottle of Portugese wine and even decantered it. Great entrees, mains and FANTASTIC desserts. I... More
