one of the best meals we had

Excellent service, excellent food. The ham and cantaloupe appetizer was simple and perfect; I also liked the navy bean soup. The salmon was some of the best I have had anywhere. Our daughter ordered the lamb, which was also fantastic. Desserts did not disappoint. They do have a dress code, though... read more

After 1.45pm non-members can go for lunch (last orders 2.30) and experience an insight into old colonial Portuguese life. You can dress in good casual clothes and enjoy the ambience. Worth a trip to Macau alone for this. And the excellent Portuguese red wine! The Douro! Don't miss the Wine Museum nearby via the 28B bus or taxi (not open... More

Had lunch buffet there on Saturday at MOP 153 + 10% per person. It's a small buffet in Portuguese Style with salad items, meat broth soup, hot items were meat and vegetable stew and some desserts. The food was so so. I think we should try a la carte, perhaps better!

I love Macau, it's my favorite week end destination. As far as I am concerned, having lunch at the "Clube Militar" is a must do: it's a real experience of what a certain "Old Macau" was, time has stopped in it's premises and it takes us a back in the 30's or the 50's. The Venue is Grand and Old... More

We had gone as a group. Most were non vegetarians other than me. However, at the end of the meal, everybody was of the opinion that veg food looked great. To be honest it really tasted well and I was surprised to get such nice veg option.

If you are looking for the feeling of a long gone era, if you can appreciate that historic building with the huge ballroom that reminded me in the first moment of a cantine, if you are in the mood for catching up with Macau's past, then this restaurant should be on your list. The food is surprisingly good, actually it's... More

It is not easy to find really good Portuguese food in Macau nowadays. I have been coming here for 30 plus years and know the place fairly well. The Club Militar is really worth a visit. The food is excellent. The wine is reasonably priced and excellent. The ambience is casual but with a touch of class befitting a 150... More

A members club, but as non-members we were able to make a reservation. I would recommend booking in advance if a non-member as it was busy even on a Tuesday night. Good ambience and decor. We tried the Portuguese/Chinese dim sum for starters which was good. Three different main courses, with the fish and pork loin being good, although our... More
