Longest wait in 22 years

In over 22 years in Asia i have never waited for so long for my order to arrive (and i am refering to almost all countries East of Bangladesh). When it finally arrived all my friends were done with dessert. I understand some dishes taking long to prepare. What i don't understand is why nobody... read more

This is the prime reason I go to Macau. Had dinner on Sunday and buffet lunch on Tuesday. Wonderful staff. Great ambience and just love the Portuguese cuisine and wine. The test: 100% of lunchtime guests ( about 70) went for the excellent buffet

Charming colonial environment, probably the best Portuguese / Macanese food you can get anywhere. Simple and Fresh, if you can access without being a member, do not hesitate!

In a heritage building, near the Octagonal Pavallion library(八角亭图书馆),walking up a few steps, you will be received by an English speaking receptionist. This place serves typical Portuguese cuisine. Sea food soup, roast pig,Portuguese salt fish, and Portuguese fried rice. Very good, quiet atmoshpere. I like this restaurant very much.

Food is good, can be great depends on your taste. Before the meal, we were served with some bread with frozen butter & black olive purée, love it! We also enjoyed the Portuguese vege soup & other main dishes we had. Tried the grilled Portuguese Bisaro sausage, it's really salty, wonder if that's how it should taste. Had the assorted... More

We (4 adults) were fortunate enough to have an invitation from a reciprocal club - and we took full advantage of it with a pre-lunch visit to the bar and a delicious lunch buffet + a few extra vegetarian dishes from the menu. The water (bottles imported from Portugal) was expensive, the Portuguese wines reasonable. The building is lovely and... More

Very colonial feel - inside and outside. The food was very good and the service was excellent. They have a pool table below where you can unwind with the drink and then come back upstairs for your meal.

Had dinner last night (2nd time in two years) at the Clube Militar in Macau, literally a piece of recent history. The restaurant is located in a very attractive colonial building. Spacious rooms, properly decorated, very clean. The personnel very courteous. The menu offers a rich list of Portuguese dishes. Since we were a party of four, we didn't miss... More

I was really looking forward to a Sunday lunch with my family, however, the food was average at best (and quite expensive). The service was ok, nothing special. The desserts were more entertaining and the atmosphere was quite pleasant but that didn't help much.

for any European travelers it´s a great place to discover the Portuguese past of Macau... their waiter team is excellent, the wine list is fullfiled of good portuguese wines at a decent price, as the food... having dinner there sent you back 50years ago!
