Good veg food in Macau

We had gone as a group. Most were non vegetarians other than me. However, at the end of the meal, everybody was of the opinion that veg food looked great. To be honest it really tasted well and I was surprised to get such nice veg option.

If you are looking for the feeling of a long gone era, if you can appreciate that historic building with the huge ballroom that reminded me in the first moment of a cantine, if you are in the mood for catching up with Macau's past, then this restaurant should be on your list. The food is surprisingly good, actually it's... More

It is not easy to find really good Portuguese food in Macau nowadays. I have been coming here for 30 plus years and know the place fairly well. The Club Militar is really worth a visit. The food is excellent. The wine is reasonably priced and excellent. The ambience is casual but with a touch of class befitting a 150... More

A members club, but as non-members we were able to make a reservation. I would recommend booking in advance if a non-member as it was busy even on a Tuesday night. Good ambience and decor. We tried the Portuguese/Chinese dim sum for starters which was good. Three different main courses, with the fish and pork loin being good, although our... More

Fine dining and really good traditional Portugese dishes. Restaurant dining room is in a well preserved historical building; 5 minutes walk from Macau's famous New Lisboa Casino. Great service from attentive serving staff. Dining room is tastefully decorated and noise level is low. Great dishes from apertisers to main courses and desserts. Don't miss the Roast Suckling Pig, it was... More

this is a traditional place for Macau residents. Serves really good bacalhau and portuguese food, such as Pastel de Nata for desert. You can only eat there if you are an associate, otherwise I recommend you arrive after 2pm.

In over 22 years in Asia i have never waited for so long for my order to arrive (and i am refering to almost all countries East of Bangladesh). When it finally arrived all my friends were done with dessert. I understand some dishes taking long to prepare. What i don't understand is why nobody told me that. What I... More

This is the prime reason I go to Macau. Had dinner on Sunday and buffet lunch on Tuesday. Wonderful staff. Great ambience and just love the Portuguese cuisine and wine. The test: 100% of lunchtime guests ( about 70) went for the excellent buffet

Charming colonial environment, probably the best Portuguese / Macanese food you can get anywhere. Simple and Fresh, if you can access without being a member, do not hesitate!
