We visited A Lorcha after learning our favourite restaurant (Fernando's) was closed ... we were taking visiting family member to see Dancing with Waters at 5pm, and planned for a late lunch before the show. We live in Hong Kong and go to Macau every couple of months. We found A Lorcha listed in several tour books, so thought we'd... More

A Lorcha is a highly regarded restaurant in Macau that has long been recognised as one of the best options for Portuguese food on the Macau peninsula. Reservations are must but you can sometimes be lucky as a walk-in diner at lunch time. We recently dined at A Lorcha and tried their African Chicken for the first time. This is... More

My friends actually recommended this Portuguese restaurant to me when they heard that I was going to Macau, so I decided to give it a try! The restaurant is really accessible; just take any bus that goes to A-Ma Temple, and the restaurant is right in front of the bus stop near A-Ma Temple. It is advisable to make reservations... More

We were nearby and found a recommendation of this place in our guide book. We were the first in a queue of nearly 10 people and had waited for 30 minutes before the restaurant opened at 6.30. The seafood soup was below average, clams ok, but nothing special, chicken was average, but octopus salad was great despite a small portion.... More

I go to this restaurant every time I travel to Macau (up to around 5 times a year), and every time I go here both the food and service are fantastic. Their bread basket, in particular, is what I would call one of their specialties, as well as their fabulous serradura (dessert), but all of the dishes I have tried... More

good friends in Macao took us to this restaurant. it has been in business for a long time, for good reason! We had clam soup, seafood curry rice, portuguese chicken, portuguese sausage, crab. Everything was very well prepared and the portions were quite generous. We would certainly return again given the chance! def. need to make reservations! Staff was very... More

Popped into this restaurant right at closing time. They let us in no questions asked. The service was phenomenal and the food was absolutely amazing. We let the waiter bring out everything he thought was best. We weren't disappointed with any of the items he brought out. In fact, our expectations were exceeded. Not sure if I will ever be... More

The food here is fantastic, the atmosphere has old world charm and even the bread is awesome. You definitely need a reservation. It is a small restaurant and packed. Don't go late or many of the best items are sold out.

Food was good - especially enjoyed the Oxtail Stew. Good service and friendly staff - you could tell that they love chatting with the customers and seems to be encouraged by management.
