On a rainy night in Macau, we had a nice meal at A Lorcha, welcomed by exceptionally friendly staff. Dishes were hearty and tasty, except the much-vaunted African chicken was not quite as good as I had hoped. Enjoyed their sangria. Would classify as good, not great.

I did an impromptu solo trip to Macau, and this place was right next to my hotel. After reading the reviews, I was stoked that such an awesome restaurant was within walking distance, and excited to try it! Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite of most places - the service was wonderful, but the food was some of the worst... More

It's been a year so I cannot recall every detail but I had to do a quick review because I can't stop thinking about their clam.. yep that good.

Portugese food is local at macau. Finally I found one by suggestion from hotel staff. Location just beside the famous A - ma Temple. Not so big that you have to look carefully cause we almost missed it. The food taste so good n the portion quite big. But even the first time try portugese food, me and my parents... More

I had the worst experience in A Lorcha.... I wasted my time dining in here and lost the chance to taste the famous Macau Pork Bun!!! I remembered I had the clams and i was just mediocre. The serrdura is just an ok dish. I was so disappointed because I had high hopes on this restaurant...... If U are planning... More

We decided to try something different to our usual place Fernando's on this recent trip to Macau. I booked a table for lunch and it was awesome. We arrived at 1 and the place was already quite full and there was a real buzz about the place. We were seated straight away and upon request our friendly waiter suggested the... More

Visited after A-Ma temple at 6p.m. The restaurant was almost full and we get a table under condition to finish until 7p.m. We ordered one octopus salad for me, and four different desserts for my wife and daughters. Everybody was happy, especially with serrdura. Note that despite address is correct, the marker on map is located incorrectly. The restaurant is... More

Went here with family as we'd read about all the hype over this place. Macau was very cold at this time (well for Macau) around 10 Celsius and the restaurant still had the aircon running, so it was uncomfortably cold. Our party of 4 seemed to be a bother for the staff (although there was only 3 other tables occupied),... More

Solid food but not the greatest presentation. The port chops with spicy brown sause was excellent but the lip french fries killed the presentation, Sardines simply grilled to perfection, just add a splash of olive oil ! The jumbo prawns Macanese style I could eat any time. Ambiance like you were in an old portuguese tavern. Wines a plesant surprise.... More

It's one of the most famous Portuguese restaurants in Macau and the food is great. But you may have to be prepared for lots of people inside.
