I was asking for the address of another Portuguese restaurant on the same street, but a local staff of a five star hotel told me to try A Lorcha instead. Her favourites are Portuguese chicken and curry crab. We had a good time because homey deco, slightly noisy local customers enjoying themselves, friendly staff, warm bread, tasty food with great... So we were in Macau, having walked several km toward esteemed Portuguese restaurant LaLorcha. It was hot, Kids were complaining, and then guess what (as predicted by the kids!) - the restaurant was full. No amount of pleading would change it. Out into the street we went, finding a public square and hungry, tired and pissed off, debating what we would... More

Found this restaurant by chance when visiting A Ma temple in Macau. Located exactly next to the temple, this restaurant provided portugese culinary. Be there around half an hour before the open hour (18.30 in the afternoon), and try to be the first in the long queue, because it turned out to be a very popular restaurant .Room were small,... More

We booked through our hotel and there was no wait when we arrived for our booking. We were quickly served the warm bread rolls (with the little packets of butter) and tried not to finish them off completely before the beautiful clams in garlic sauce arrived to soak up some of that magic sauce. We also ordered some chorizo as... More

On a rainy night in Macau, we had a nice meal at A Lorcha, welcomed by exceptionally friendly staff. Dishes were hearty and tasty, except the much-vaunted African chicken was not quite as good as I had hoped. Enjoyed their sangria. Would classify as good, not great.

I did an impromptu solo trip to Macau, and this place was right next to my hotel. After reading the reviews, I was stoked that such an awesome restaurant was within walking distance, and excited to try it! Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite of most places - the service was wonderful, but the food was some of the worst... More

Portugese food is local at macau. Finally I found one by suggestion from hotel staff. Location just beside the famous A - ma Temple. Not so big that you have to look carefully cause we almost missed it. The food taste so good n the portion quite big. But even the first time try portugese food, me and my parents... More

I had the worst experience in A Lorcha.... I wasted my time dining in here and lost the chance to taste the famous Macau Pork Bun!!! I remembered I had the clams and i was just mediocre. The serrdura is just an ok dish. I was so disappointed because I had high hopes on this restaurant...... If U are planning... More

We decided to try something different to our usual place Fernando's on this recent trip to Macau. I booked a table for lunch and it was awesome. We arrived at 1 and the place was already quite full and there was a real buzz about the place. We were seated straight away and upon request our friendly waiter suggested the... More
