Must go places in Macau for good value Portuguese food, excellent seafood & prawn dishes. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. Be early for lunch/dinner to avoid long waiting. Good alternative if you are looking to escape Casinos and shopping malls!

It is a little off the beaten track but absolutely worth the trip if you are sick of the noise of the city centre. The bus ride is fairly pleasant (approximately 30 to 40 minutes on Bus 26). For those who want a taxi, it is approximately 100 macau dollars from the city centre) about 10 quid. The food is... More

A long journey from my hotel to the restaurant. Did not make any reservation as it was an ad-hoc decision. Queued for about 20mins under the stars with cold wind. The staffs there were super friendly and helpful. Food arrived quick enough to fill our stomach. Ordered prawns, clams, sausages, stuffed squid and lastly, the PORK. The skin of the... More

We arrived about 1pm on a Tuesday and the place was packed. We were lucky to grab one of the last tables. The restaurant has a great feel and the food was fantastic. The suckling pig was a highlight. Service wasnt overally friendly but it didn't detract from our overall experience. Definently worth a visit.

Excellent food in very casual setting. Have been going there for years and although Macau has changed a lot, this restaurant is still delivering great food and wine at reasonable prices. They don't take bookings and never have and don't expect silver service or ketchup!

I have not even have a chance to eat at his place. With the tourists industry blooming in Macau, they do not accept any bookings on Saturday and Sunday. The girl on the phone even claimed that their customers start queuing at 11:00 am in the morning. I was planning to take my parents and 2 elderly uncle and aunt;... More

Visited this place 19 years ago. It is as good as ever. The food was excellent and the service good. Suckling pig, grilled sea bass and fried rice made a great lunch washed down with an excellent Portuguese wine chosen by our host. You cannot book, but that only means you wait in the bar area and sample some beer... More

This is a no frills place on the other side of Macau away from all the buzz and glitter of the casinos and the tourists/gamblers' places. It takes a US$10 - $12 taxi ride from the TurboJet terminal on the port. It is a rustic and very charming place set among very lush vegetation, it has no A/C and the... More
