Take the Catch of the day, really nice! Friendly staff and good atmosphere. And they help you with the blankets if it is cold outside.

We stayed 4 days in Kuressaare and had dinner twice at the beautiful Kuursaal. There is a summer terrace with castle view, but you might prefer the beautiful dining hall. The dishes were nicely presented, a fine and light cuisine with fresh local products. Excellent salad with goat cheese cooked in dandelion honey, and the best sourcream-raspberry pie ever eaten!... we were visiting Kuuressare on 1st if may, and found this restaurant near the fortress. It has a nice, original interior, we especially liked the wooden ceiling,. The food was good and natural, the service was excellent! We had a good time.

We were 8 persons (4 youths and 4 adults) and we ordered starters and main courses which came in random order. The Fish and Chips was a ridiculous; a glass with 5 dried salty herrings and dried bread! It tasted, smelled and looked bad. Why calling it F&C when it's not? They should have said to a teenager that it's... More

Situated in the park next to the castle. You could go there for afternoon coffee and cake and sit on the terrace, having a nice view of the castle. In the evening we sat in the restaurant, however if you would prefer the terrace, you get blankets to put around you if it gets too cold. I had the catch... More

We visited Kuursaal last Sunday for a late lunch while driving through Kuressaare. Although fish is their specialty, we went for local lamb and (imported) duck this time - and we did't regret that. Both dishes were simple, but delicious. The only thing to nag about would be the accompanying sauce, that was bland and lacked personality. Wine suggestions did... More

Restaurant is just next to castle in lovely park center of the Kuresaari. Building is lovely and they had some art for sale on the walls of the dining hall. Menu is mainly fish. I picked Fried Baltic Herring, see attached picture. Portion was simple and tasty. Service were bit clumsy but friendly. Desert cake was also very good. Would... More

One night we were walking in park and stepped in to the restaurant and there were hundreds of people and musicians playing. It was fun all night. We wish it had been warmer outside to enjoy the terraces. Bands were playing for several hours and people were eating and dancing and walking around. If we had known, we had went... More

We had a good experience here. Love the old Kuursaal which has been beautifully restored. The view overlooking the castle and the moat is like something out of a fairytale. We sat outside on the terrace which was a great place to be on a summer's eve after seeing a play at a nearby theatre. Our waiter was young and... More
