I'm starting this review with the total cost of the dinner we had in this restaurant: Php 1,610 for 3 people. For the record, it was the most expensive we've had in our entire five-day trip to Apo Island-Dumaguete-Siquijor. And for it to be not the best dining experience is kinda heartbreaking. The food wasn't bad at all, but we... More

Even though its Sunday with only about few customers, it took about 90mins for our order to arrive - crispy kangkong, sinigang at sizzling sisig.they shouldn't say it will only take 30 mins or just offered complimentary nuts or bread while we wait

OK, let it be known, I am only rating the restaurant here. My GF and I were motorcycling by here and decided to stop for lunch. First, let me say, the ambiance and presentation of the overall hotel is very nice: seems cushy and well-taken care of, at least on the surface. And the beachside restaurant is very nice, with... I stopped in at Salamandas for a quick lunch during a day of diving. The restaurant has been built to a high standard with a full open air concept that gives every table a stunning view & sea breezes. There is a very good menu selection that is complimented by a daily special board. I chose the mahi mahi special... More

Salamandas is a bit expensive and unfortunately does not have any air con (spite the fan, and open doors, it gets warm and a bit sweaty!). However, the food was tasty, and fresh! we had the pan seared Mahi mahi (with wine glazed potatoes and garlic tomato creame) - it was yummy! The place is very nice but the food was not great. It was served within 10 minutes. The chicken was dry and cold served. Although the tasted was good but we never didn't tried for a second time. The staff was very friendly.

Wonderful food and great service. Liked the way that you have several choices of where to sit inside or outside by the beach etc.

I dined here once for dinner and once ordered from their restaurant which delivered around the pool. The pizza ordered around the pool area was overcooked and at dinner time the garlic bread was soogy and not crisp. I had Blue Marlin also for dinner with veges which was quite nice.

good variety of fish dishes, nice touch with local Philippine live music / singers (not tacky) and staff that remembered your name

In a few words, it was brilliant every time !!! We ate there for three days straight, lunch and dinner and had a ball. The food was fantastic (I was a five star chef for thirty years, I know hospitality) the service was great, the cocktails are divine, the restaurant was immaculate and the prices are very very reasonable.
