With 10 trips to Italy, it remains one of the two best meals I ever had in Italy - the other was a 5 table family trattoria at Lake Locarno - The restaurant is now closed until the Fall when it will be re-located into a new hotel being built by all-star Chef Gualtiero Marchesi at Lake Maggiore I believe.

Really I like everything, but I thing it is not for young or youth place. It has a very talent taste rare to find.

Maestro, you can still touch our hearts! Once you enter the Restaurant you immediately feel that you are going to live an extraordinary experience. The Maestro is there: greetings and enchanting guests with his limitless gentleness. To have the privilige, as we had, to listen from his voice how he got inspiration from a Fontana’s painting for one of his... More

... Ristorante Gualtiero Marchesi is the place to go. You must be prepared to pay for it, but you will invest in a positively unforgettable experience. Maestro Marchesi is not an ordinary chef: he is an artist, and all your senses will be pleased with his creations. The ambiance is stupendous, lavish, yet sedate. You will receive the impression of... More

You should choose Sphagetti and fried duck, if you are a non-vegetarian. One could get a view of mountain, trees and on the other side kitchen facilities with varieties of pasta. Sparkling wine should be the one which should not be missed.

I'm not sure who are the bigger fools here: the owners of the hotel who think this is exceptional or thosevof us who actually paid to eat here. We stayed at L'Albereta for 3 nights, which was positively enchanting, and saved this meal for our last night...wanting to experience "the maestro". All I can say is that this is the... More

I was invited for a marriage, and I stays positively impressed by the quality , services and the accuracy in the preparation of the dishes. Mr. Marchesi was following personally every operation. Very much suggested.

My wife and I stayed at L'Albereta ten years ago for our 20th Anniversary and were completely enthralled by both the hotel and restaurant. This December we brought our two adult children to re-create the wonderful experience we had had ten years earlier. What my wife and I love about Relais and Chateau properties is that they always have a... More

An unique interpretation of Italian food, not usually found at such a high level. In additon they are very open to meeting the needs of their clients.. last week we had 2 American colleagues with us during Thanksgiving... and with a few days notices they were able to provide a wonderful Turkey dinner, Italian style which was well appreciated!
