This was a great experience. The chef/owner and his family pick you up an take you to his restratuant. Moreno is a wonderful chef/host. For me this was more than a cooking class. The recipes chef used I will make at home.

We were picked up by the owner right at the ferry and very much enjoyed our cooking lesson at Il Caminetto. We spent a relaxing and fun day cooking and chatting with Chef Moreno. It would be fun to do the class with a small group of friends.
This place is located up in the hills above Lake Como but the owners pick you up and at your hotel - a great plus since you would likely not find it on your own - the food is superb and the hosts are wonderful and add to the unforgettable experience
A real surprise this tiny restaurant met by chance on a short escape from Milan at Sunday lunch. We had antipasti misti with excellent choice of genuine local meat, sottolio and fish. Our risotto with mashroom and apple and homemade maccaroni with cream and bacon were very good. All the pasta are home made and cooked following local traditional recipes...

We ate here two nights as we stayed at Moreno's bed and breakfast. The meal is reasonably priced and the menu consists of four courses...Moreno and Rosella prepare something different every night. He will pick you up in the town square and take you back if you need a ride. It is worth the ten minute curvy drive to the...

Cooking class surpassed our expectations! Though as others have mentioned there was not much hands on except for shaping tortellini, Chef Moreno should be on Food TV Network. Engaging, informative and passionate about his craft, his community and, most of all, his family, Chef Moreno gave us wonderful insight into the local food and culture. Sharing the day with Chef...

Chef Moreno's cooking class is a "must do" experience if your interested in about cooking in Lombardia. We were fortunate to meet several members of Chef Moreno's, family, now fifth generation restaurant owners in Perledo. The ride from Varenna to the village of Perledo is beautiful and the vistas overlooking the mid-lake region are indescribable. Chef Moreno's love for the...

We really enjoyed our day at the cookery class and ate some delicious food. It was a very entertaining enjoyable day and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try something different. We enjoyed interacting with the other guests who were all American, except for ourselves. There was not much guest involvement with the cooking, but I preferred...

Moreno, the owner chef, conducts a very memorable cooking class. He will pick you up in Varenna and return you after the class. The day starts shortly after 10AM with cookies and drinks. Then he starts to prepare 3 dishes. There is a break at noon for local cheeses, salumi, crackers, and wine. Then he continues to cook. You can...

The cookery class was truly one of the highlights of our 10 days in Lake District. Although offered a ride from the ferry landing, we decided to drive up the hillside. Lots of curves and winding roads, but a beautiful view at the top. Il Caminetto (The Little Fireplace) is a charming family owned restaurant staffed by Moreno and Rossella,...
