Wonderful place to enjoy lunch

We arrived by boat from Cernobbio (50 min.) and walked up the stairs to the outdoor dining room with AMAZING views of Lake Como. Bring cash (€70), no credit cards accepted, and sit back and enjoy the parade of delicious, freshly prepared food. Tomato lemon caprese, 7 types of vegetables including... read more

Take the small boat to the island, walk the island (follow the path to the left of the boat dock). Enjoy the show that is your meal. They do one meal, and they do it great!

We were told you should go once to this restaurant however the reason only materilised after that visit. Lovely staff but the food was very basic and very expensive. We are happy to spend money on a lovely meal but this was not the case. Go to Tiralanda if you want beautiful food and good wine.

The attraction food wise was the island restaurant for lunch =. You just have to try it! Everything is fresh and freshly prepared. If you drive up the road towards Lugano you will come to Il Gatto Negro (the Black Cat) restaurant. Make a reservation, The view and the food are very good. Ipromise you will not be disappointed

I had read of this restaurant and was quite, quite excited to visit. Reservations made, expectations laid and exceeded. The promise of a simply prepared luncheon was a celebration in flavors primarily produced with only for enrichments, damn fine extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon, sea salt and pepper. Table set on a veranda looking north on the lake, the... More

Went here for lunch as part of a tour. Food was mostly good, but the whole experience felt a little theatrical. It's a 5 or 6 course meal, depending on how you count. Started out very well, unusual caprese with lemon instead of balsamic, then fabulous antipasti -- lots of lightly sauteed vegetables, some prosciutto, etc The next course, "salmon... More

WOW, did not disappoint. After 7 weeks in Italy, we all loved this very relaxing LONG lunch. My kids 6 and 10 years enjoyed this too and didn't moan once!! The food and wine was simple, delicious and abundant. Rustic Italian at it's best. Loved starting with masses of deliciously prepared vegetables and warm bread thrown (literally) on the table....
