As they say: the polenta place

Perfect place to have a good polenta dish.We were three people and shared three different dishes with polenta, with wild boar, deer and beef. All of them were excellent (the one with wild boar was my favorite). If you are in Milano it is a good one-day trip. Take a train from Milan to Como... read more

Well, you can't go to this place and don't eat polenta. It's so tasty, seems to be homemade. Antipasto, i recommend. Also, order a good wine with your polenta. it makes the difference, after lunch, go for a walk, enjoy the view.

We have in "La polenteria" to celebrate the birthday of my father (80 years). The restaurant is very simple to find because it is directly on the square of Como Volta's lighthouse. We were a group of 10 people. The owner of the premises reserved a room with fireplace just dedicated to us. The atmosphere was really great. The food... More

After our first visit to La Polenteria we were reasonably impressed. The food was nice, we were welcomed and the price was very reasonable. On our second visit the restaurant was much busier and we were treated very differently much to our disappointment. Service was so poor we decided to leave. After 25mins our orders were still not taken nor... More

We went here during our stay at the Lake Como. We were sitting outside and were welcomed by the owner of the restaurant. There is an English menu available, which is helping you to make the right choice. We had delicious food here and we really loved the service which was decent.

We hiked up to the nearby lighthouse from Como during our visit. We stopped into this polenta place based on a hiking forum that recommended the food. The building was rustic and cute. It seems to be a family business. The english speaking staff quickly seated us and gave us advice on what to order. The food came quickly (we... More

The food was delicious and the service SUPERB. We have been in Italy for more than 10 days and it was probably the best restaurant we stayed at because of the combination: good food, good wine, friendly and very professional service, warm and familiar atmosphere... Would recommend this place to everyone who's in Brunate!

Nice place, very kind people and delicious food! Maybe the landscapes are not the best ones but who cares when you are busy with a delicious dish?

Very good service, nice staff and great food! The portions are quite big, so if you're not extremely hungry one course is more than enough.
