We had a good family dinner up the hill overlooking Lake Como. My 3 kids and my dog enjoyed to play and around on the greens. The food was original and quite acceptable. The wine recommendation of the Chief was great. Overall a nice evening.

Had to respond to the last review from bcj9. My wife and I have been staying at la griglia for the last week. I can't speak highly enough of the hotel and in particular the staff and the food . The staff have been really friendly and helpful even though we speak no Italian and they speak limited English. The... More

I am so disappointed in this restaurant. We arrived before 7:00 for something to eat. A lady said food wasn't severed until 7:30 which was fine by us. We ordered a drink and the lady pointed to all the tables to gesture we could take are pick of seats. I don't speak Italian and I am well aware not everyone... More

This restaurant is not easy to get to - about a 7 minute drive up the mountain from Argegno or a 40 minute hike on foot - but it is more than worth the effort. It was the best meal l have had in the region and one of the best in all of Italy. Fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared and... More

We stayed at the hotel and ate here several times because the food was amazing. The menu included different kinds of polenta, home made pasta, yummy mushroom dishes and wild game. We ate too much because there were so many irresistible options and we could not stop. The wine list is extensive and the house red wine was decent too.... More

After reading Trip Advisor reviews and recommended by the owner of the house we are staying we decided to try it . Wow !! It was fantastic . A lovely family run place with a lovely atmosphere and a lovely open fire was glowing . We had Parma ham and caprase to start with some lovely Pinot Grigio . I... More

My family had 2 fantastic meals here over the space of a week and would thoroughly recommend any of the polenta dishes. Also polished off the kids pasta ragu which was a spectacular display of what the bastardised "bolognese" should taste like. Friendly service and if the weather permits sitting outside would be fantastic.

We had diner at this restaurant based on the numerous good recenses. The restaurant indeed serves great dishes, but you have to choose the right one. I am aware of the different courses in an italian meal, but a roast beef secondi platti consisting only of some vegetables (without dressing) and two thin slices (like on a sandwich) of (cold)... Stayed here one night on a business trip but the hotel is not geared up for a business related visit. Cramped room, desk barely big enough for my big laptop, nowhere to put my suit case. I had a double bed and I did wonder how on earth two people would have coped. I don't think the hotel offers WiFi... More
