So many irresistible menu options, extensive wine list, friendly service

We stayed at the hotel and ate here several times because the food was amazing. The menu included different kinds of polenta, home made pasta, yummy mushroom dishes and wild game. We ate too much because there were so many irresistible options and we could not stop. The wine list is extensive and... read more

After reading Trip Advisor reviews and recommended by the owner of the house we are staying we decided to try it . Wow !! It was fantastic . A lovely family run place with a lovely atmosphere and a lovely open fire was glowing . We had Parma ham and caprase to start with some lovely Pinot Grigio . I... More

My family had 2 fantastic meals here over the space of a week and would thoroughly recommend any of the polenta dishes. Also polished off the kids pasta ragu which was a spectacular display of what the bastardised "bolognese" should taste like. Friendly service and if the weather permits sitting outside would be fantastic.

We had diner at this restaurant based on the numerous good recenses. The restaurant indeed serves great dishes, but you have to choose the right one. I am aware of the different courses in an italian meal, but a roast beef secondi platti consisting only of some vegetables (without dressing) and two thin slices (like on a sandwich) of (cold)... Stayed here one night on a business trip but the hotel is not geared up for a business related visit. Cramped room, desk barely big enough for my big laptop, nowhere to put my suit case. I had a double bed and I did wonder how on earth two people would have coped. I don't think the hotel offers WiFi... More

I loved the deserts, but also the minestrone was great, as well as the pasta with mushrooms! The breakfast here is also very nice, not a huge amount of choice, but just right. What they have is served with quality and appealing also to the eye.

We were the only patrons when we went and felt like we members of the family! The food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful. We sat outside but it was equally as charming inside. We toured the spotless kitchen and the small hotel attached to the restaurant. The wines and pasta were great.

When staying in Lake Como, we ate dinner at La Griglia because the food is supposed to be delicious and is said to be where the locals dine. After dining here, I can say that both of those statements are very true! Even though we had to drive up the mountain on a very narrow, we would definitely do it... More

We went to la griglia for Sunday lunch, it is a short drive from the charming village of Argegno. As you ascend to the village of Sant'Anna the air freshens and there is a tranquil atmosphere. The restraint is surrounded by pretty gardens and lovely views to the mountain and the lake below. The food is stunning a short menu... More

I have travelled a fair amount in my short life and this stands up as being one of the best restaurants I have ever been to anywhere. EVER Wonderful mountain location just 3 minute drive up form lake Como, always peaceful and relaxing. Authentic, beautiful Italian food, great wine and even better service. This is a bit of real Italy... More
