This is not a place for sophisticated cooking with expensive ingredients. It feels more like local home cooking, but with a few interesting and surprising twists. The antipasti misto included carrots stuffed with a little bit of cheese, potato similarly stuffed and a spoonful of pickled cabbage (so home cooking) but this was preceded with an amuse bouche (!) of... There are only about 10 tables at this family run restaurant, all arranged in a cute, dimly candlelit alleyway, which ends at the lake so you can hear (or feel, depending on where you are seated) the water splashing against the stone walls. The atmosphere is ever so romantic & pleasantly relaxed. Service was incredibly friendly and attentive as we... More

Local fish antipasti was creative and nicely presented, risotto was spot on, truffle gnocchi was average. Local trout was very good, Saw some other creative presentations going to other tables. Family run operation that were extremely friendly. Honest friendly service is always a winner in my book!

Nice quality food. The antipasti with vegetables was wonderful ! Very tasty. Nice location at the lake. Very friendly people and they were really nice for our two kids. The prices are correct. It s really worth a dinner when you visit Gargnano.

The restaurant is too basic in decoration and makes you feel that they just want to take your money. Quite expensive compared to the other restaurants in Gargnano and not quite worth the money unfortunately. On a positive side, the portions are huge, so if you'e really hungry for basic food and don't care about money, go here.

I ate here on vacation while staying at a nearby resort. I ordered the risotto with lemon and prawns. The dish itself looked very simple but the taste was wonderful it was the best risotto I've had, simple but full of flavour. The restaurant itself is very romantic, they have seating inside but the best place to sit is in... More

It's literally an alley, so make sure you don't miss it. It was such a unique and beautiful place to eat and the food was excellent and great value. We didn't book, but do recommend booking and asking for a table next to the lake

Tucked away down a covered alley this restaurant really is a hidden gem. At first we thought that the menu was a little limited because the menu displayed on the wall does not do it justice and a number of people turned away having only seen a small sample of what was actually on offer. However, that was their loss... More

Glancing down the covered alleyway leading to the lake you see tables laid out and it's hard not to be drawn in. The food is delicious, sophisticated, with a large menu, but the portions of the starters we had are too big. The Fish platter starter is out of this world but can be shared between two. The Sardines wrapped... More
