Unusual menu

We had booked for lunch ahead of visiting local distillery. The place was busy with a mixture of locals and visitors. No English menu but waiters happy to try and explain. The starters were unusual - one was similar to scotch egg in cream and asparagus sauce- very tasty, another was herrings. The... read more

Having not made my usual research on TA for good places to eat, we let instinct lead us to this wonderful find. We chose the three course recommended lunch and it exceeded expectations entirely. The mixed salad was fresh, large in size, and perfectly seasoned with a great vinaigrette. The entre was an ample serving of fresh salmon cooked just... More

We stopped at this restaurant to have vin chaud. They did not ask us whether we want to eat or drink. After ordering vin chaud, they asked us what we will have for lunch. We said we just wanted to drink. The waiter who could not speak english well enough asked the other lady to come and she told us... More

We just happened across this restaurant when we arrived in Yvoire for a Sunday stroll. It was Sunday lunchtime and we knew places would be busy so we decided to try the first place we came to. Lucky for us there was a table for two, perfectly situated by the window, and out of the draft as well. We noticed... More

Wonderful place to take the family, stroller friendly, and great menu. Food was great, and the wine just superb.

We've gone to this restaurant at least once a year over the past 4 years and have never been disappointed. The staff is very nice, very professional and always friendly. The food is very good and it is good value for money. It is not at all a "touristy restaurant." It is top quality in an amazing setting.

Winter or summer the welcome is warm and concerned and the traditional french cuisine is always good. Friendly efficient staff who are there when you need them but not obsequious and excellent food presented with style - what more can you want ? Well - just a view of the lake which you don't have but some of the lake-side... More

Introduced the kids to cheese fondue and they are 100% sold. The cheese mixture was delicious and dessert was very good as well (molten chocolate cake and creme brûlée, both technically perfect and tasty). The service was a little slow however, especially after the main course. I had ordered the molten chocolate cake when ordering our meal, as requested on... More

We ended up at the restaurant because the ones we tried earlier were either full or required reservations. Was quite surprised as the place had a lot of restaurants for its size, though judging by the number of cars at the parking lot, it was not surprising. Had quite an extensive choice though we did notice that most of the... More

We are visiting our son & his family in Coppet & the plan for this Saturday was to make the trip by boat from Nyon to Yvoire and back. The place that our son & his wife knew from previous trips was closed so we wound up at La Traboule & were not disappointed. We were quite late, around 1500... More
