The best thing about this restaurant is it's location. It has beautiful views of the lakes and is near the swimming areas and 'beaches' so perfect for coffee, lunch or early supper if you are there for the day. It is very traditional Spanish and the menu is a treat in itself- rabbit, boar, pigs cheek, zarzuela and other local... More

We love to visit this place on our frequent trips to the lakes. The staff are organised and really appreciate you ordering in spanish. This is inland spain, not the costa brava, after all, so dont arogantly sit waffling in english very slowly. The food is reslly good, very rewasonable and we go there time after time.

Restaurant offers lovely views over the Ardales lakes, however the food and service left a lot to be desired. Food was very low quality meat, with many bones and fat, service was also quite unfriendly. Out of the 2 restaurants we ate at in the Ardales lakes, and unfortunately the Mirador was much nicer than this one.

Had dinner here just the once. The food was lovely- no complaints. The price was standard- around €70 - €80 euros for family of 4 having steak with drinks and ice-creams. We went around 9pm and it was very quiet, maybe 10-15 people in but I guess it's busier in the daytime due to being right across the road from... More

Lovely view, lovely food, plenty of it, reasonable prices. Lost the 5th star because it was very salty. Recommend meatballs & the wild boar - both come with fries & ratatouille - you need a litre of water, but both taste superb

Called in here for a spot of lunch and was underwhelmed! My fish tasted good but presentation on the plate could have been better. It didn't look very appetizing. The waiter lacked attention to detail - we had to ask for condiments. My man however thoroughly enjoyed his Solomillo and despite the drawbacks left a decent tip. Classier waiter service... More

Ordered "grilled fish" and got a small piece of pan-fried (originally deep-frozen!?) fish filet with underdone french fries and canned vegetables. Menu was translated by google translate or the like. Waiter was not friendly and smashed everything loudly on the table.

Visited over Easter taking the fantastic Cartama Churros route. Arrived at 2pm and was fortunate to get a terrace table overlooking the lake. I have been here several times before and staff do not appear to have changed. Menu is interesting with a good selection of traditional fare. Wine and beer prices are good value especially for an inland haven... More
