I've been going to this lovely country pub for some years however not recently due to lack of time. I had heard that it had changed hands so went along hoping that standards had been maintained. It was soon to be revealed that the Lyme Kiln as we knew it wasn't any more!! Food quality has deteriorated as have the... More

First time visit and got to say it's been a real good pleasure, the staff here are brilliant and very kind. The service is exactly how you would like to be treated. The food is also excellent and will definitely be coming back in the near future as I had such a great service, many thanks to the staff

First visit with the new owners and what a refreshing change compared to the last visit. After a stressful day we came for dinner and were amazed at how the whole visit from entering to leaving was fantastic. Friendly staff, lovely food, very reasonably priced, amazing conscientious service compared to previous visits, These new owners have really turned this place... More

It's not every day you see Zarzuela, a Spanish fish soup, chalked up on the Specials board in a local pub, but then it's not something the regulars at the Lime Kiln Inn near Langport get stewed up about. What customers in their Sunday lunchtime droves do appreciate is the big-hearted, child friendly atmosphere, a menu the length of a... More

we were a party of 4 adults who had Sunday lunch here yesterday and the experience was excellent. The service was friendly and even though there were plenty of people in we were kept informed about any delays. The food was very good quality pub food with some imaginative alternatives to the Sunday roast, I had the fish platter and... More

Hubby and I have been using this pub for years as we love the food I had heard it had changed hands and this made me wonder, I nearly went last night, glad I didn't Having read the reviews it seems that things have changed for the worst. The new owners should take note as word spreads like wildfire around... More

The building and interior has a good rural feel however the staff and food was disappointing. We wasn't greeted by the staff who were stood by the bar. The way you order wasn't explained and we had to ask. There wasn't any table service when we finished a drink, we had to go order more at the bar. The food... More

On Tuesday I had my first meal at the Lime Kiln. Being fairly new to the area we had not been to this pub before. The food was traditional, honest and homely and everything I expect from a rustic Somerset pub. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming and the waiting staff were attentive and efficient. The atmosphere was warm... More

Try popping into the Lime Kiln for a warm welcome and great quality food. Served with a smile and a great choice of local and international beers and ciders. The local butchers faggots or sausages are to die for and if the weather is kind, you can eat in the lovely garden. A super play area for children complete this... More

This pub is under new management and as a result a few things on the menu have changed. Overall I would say that we enjoyed our meal, we were a group of three adults and a four year old. I think all the prices on the menu have gone up, either by 50p or £1. My husband ordered the steak... More
