We visited the pub on a monday evening - arrived to find the car park nearly full and we had to wait a few minutes for a table - an hour or so later it was much less busy. There is no booking of tables so you take your chance. The service was friendly but seemed stretched. You order your... More

Sad to say but the Lime Kiln is not as good as it used to be. I went with 5 people and we were not impressed. The food has definitely changed, sauces don't taste homemade and the puddings appear to be just microwaved. Not sure what is going on there but I hope the quality returns. I agree with the... More

We have been here a few times with friends and found it nice. Although the staff weren't exactly friendly. We came to the pub for our wedding anniversary after being told we didn't need to make a reservation. We got told by a grumpy bar woman we could only sit by the bar because they won't sit 2 people at... More

We visited on air day so this may not be a true reflection of the place, as it was very busy, but the food was very average and over cooked.

Me my husband and 2 children met some friends here one evening. A huge positive this place has is the small children's park, our boys played constantly! The service is fantastic, both the bar staff and waitresses where very happy and accommodating. All the meals where very nice however I feel there could be an improvement on the pies.... Although... This place used to be marred by an articulated truck parked almost permanently in the car park, and indifferent staff. Wow! Now it is somewhere to go for a decent meal with good British values. The food is well priced, but £5.20 for a glass of average wine, is extracting the michael somewhat.

Went with family and friends for my birthday lunch and like every other visit, I loved it, as did they. Great food, lovely old pub and great value. What more could you want

Taken there for my birthday lunch. Excellent food freshly cooked and large portion - too much for me! Particularly memorable were the friendly staff including the "boss-lady" who was genuinely apologetic when there was a small, and very temporary, hitch with our order. One of the joys of this restaurant is the spacing of the tables. I have been before... More

My partner and I had lunch at The Lime Kiln last Sunday and it was delicious! I had roast pork (a generous helping) and he had a nut roast, which was really tasty. The pub/restaurant was busy but not packed, which was just right, and we were able to sit outside in the sunshine. Prices were very reasonable (though soft... More

Whilst visiting my Cousin for his Birthday, we visited the Lime Kiln Inn for Sunday Lunch. Since moving to Somerset to take over and make a fantastic success of the Langport Stores, they had visited the Lime Kiln on a number of occasions. They highly recommended it, so the seven of us headed there for something to eat! The location... More
