Four of us met for lunch during the week. Three had curry and one a cheddar ploughmans... Curries were very good with Naan and Poppadoms. We asked for extra mango chutney and this came speedily. The ploughmans was plentiful and tasty. Then it went a little down hill trying to get the attention of two young waitresses for another round... More

We were recommended the restaurant by our hotel and were not disappointed. We ordered steaks from the small but nicely put together menu. They were perfectly cooked and came with plenty of vegetables. The price was also very reasonable. Definitely recommended for family, friends or a romantic meal out.

Took my mum here recently for her birthday lunch and we left very disappointed. Mum had fish and chips which in past years here was really very good. This was clearly frozen and just very average at best. The best part of her meal was her peas she said. The tomato sauce was not a good brand one which when your... More

A lovely inn with a large beer garden and a play area for the kids. The food was very good value and they had a reasonable selection of beers, ciders and lagers. The only thing that I didn't like was having to go to the bar to order the food, not very good if there was a lot in your... More

First visit to the Lime Kiln for a year or so. Dropped in on the way home from the beach as too tired to cook. Some changes have taken place since my last visit & they are an improvement. Service great, barman on the right side of welcoming & chatty. Food very good & beer (Ringwood) was really fresh &... More

We called in for Sunday Lunch and enjoyed a really nice meal. The veg were plentiful and nicely cooked, the serving of freshly carved meat was ample and the service was excellent too. A great alternative to cooking at home, we will be back!!

Having had an awful experience elsewhere we stumbled across the lime Kiln whilst in search of food! This place is a must! The service was exemplary, the food was fantastic, and they did their utmost to ensure that we had a good time. Would come back to this little gem again and again!

Excellent food, and lovely friendly service...would highly recommend! I had a sirloin steak which was cooked exactly how I asked and my other half was going to just have a cheese burger but was challenged to having a stack burger....it was huge and he managed it!! All was fantastic :)

Four friends, three different meals from a new menu... All good. Prices reasonable, service fine, atmosphere pleasant -- we'd go again. Hubby said his bacon and liver pie was good. I enjoyed a Brie and Chorizo stack with tomato sauce-- simple but tasty, served with "a nice pint."
