Typical Sicilian meal in an amazing Sicilian little town perched on top of a mountain. Great food, very delicately prepared, great service. 20-40€ per head

Staff were really pleasant and spoke good English. Very amenable however as they were sparsely staffed occasionally absent from the restaurant when new people arrived or customers wanted the check. We ate here twice and the food was good, typically the simple sicilian style but filling. Not the cheapest place but not pricey either. Park on the piazza lauria if... More

During our week in Castiglione, we had dinner here two times. The service is very good, and even if there doesn't seem to be any more seats outside - just ask, and they will arrange something for you! Tha antipasti was a particular favourite with us, seemingly simple dishes like grilled vegetables were perfectly prepared and full of flavour. Great... More

Wonderful menu of typical Sicilian food, all home-made and locally sourced ingredients. Ravioli with Pistaccio fantastic, or Pasta Sine Tempore and if you need a change from Pasta try the meatballs wrapped in Lemon leaves or the Lamb chops, and indulge in some Fries (yes, not typically Sicilian!) and a fresh salad!

It was such a pleasure to come across this charming restaurant! Exhausted after a full-day excursion to Etna we found the restaurant just perfect to relax and enjoy the viewes. The atmosphere is so friendly and the hosts were so helpful to advise what to choose from the thick menu of delicacies. The local specialities they serve need no description.... More

We had two wonderful dinners in this beautiful restaurant. It was the best food in Castiglione di Sicilia (and indeed, of everywhere we went in Sicily) and that is saying a lot. The house wine is locally made from the family who owns and runs this restaurant (the gradfather's wine), the cheese is from another relative's locally made cheese shop... More

On a tour around the Northern flanks of the Etna, we drove up to Castiglione in search of lunch. a local pointed out this place, and although we were the only patrons for lunch, food arrived swiftly, was very tasty and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

We fell upon the Ristorante Sine Tempore accidentally while searching for a hotel in Castiglione di Sicillia. What a find it was. A good hotel, Frederico II with a superb restaurant. Wonderful, fresh, local Sicilian food served by friendly attentive staff. It happened to be our wedding anniversary and we were given the best room in the hotel and treated... More

Ate at this place 5 nights in a row while staying at this small family runned place hotel hotel Federico II. Great and well prepared local food. Was here just as the mushroom season peaked. The father of the business went out every morning to pick mushrooms which was used in the different dishes served at lunch and dinner. Great... More

We ate a lot in Sicily and the food was very good everywhere. Sine Tempore was the best we found. The food was quite delicious and the staff relaxed and friendly and the best wine. This family run restaurant ( they also have a wine shop around the corner) represents the the very best of Sicilian food, wine and service.... More
