Good home made style food at great value

Spent the evening there with family. Food was very good and exceptional value for money. This place is family run and serves good old fashioned Welsh/ British favourites as well as some good bitter. If you want haut cuisine then go somewhere else, but for reasonably priced hearty food, this place... read more

Having my daughter visit me,we deceided to book a table for Sunday lunch 19th April, we were NOT dissappointed, the meal was excellent, service could not be faultered,& I would totally recommend ,but it was very busy ,so book in advance.....also they have small meals on the menu, which in my case was great, not being a big eater, plus the prices were accordingly.

Not a bad venue but but not a patch on the Bridge, this place gets busy as a result of the poor results from ThePloug and the Talardey

This family run Hotel & Restaurant has been for years one the best places to dine in the area. All the food is freshly cooked on the premises my the owner Tony and his wife. The staff are always very respectful to customers and well turned out. I woudl advise an early booking if you wish to dine at the weekend as... More

After my previous review, where I commented on the disappointing service, I though it fair to write an update after another visit (the food was worth another trip). We revisited for my birthday meal and this time things were much better. The food was as good as before, the real ale was spot on and the service much better. Towards... More

Visited today for lunch today, and overall was very underwhelmed by the experience. We were shown into a cold and cheerless room, and sat by two radiators, one of which I had to put on as it was so cold. The room lacked atmosphere and you could hear everyone's conversation clearly. We ordered scampi and chips, which came with broccoli... More

We were a party of 15 there to celebrate my parent in-laws Golden Wedding anniversary. The food was stunning and we received really excellent service. The toilets were spotless, I mention this because I think if the standards in the toilets are high then the same goes for the kitchens. I would definitely go again and would highly recommend. Thank... More

Was one of a party of 14. Birthday celebration. No interaction between staff and customers. Food, Beef in black bean sauce, was so salty it was almost inedible. For sweet I ordered just plain vanilla ice cream...45 mins later a waitress brought the dish out to me. Most of the party by this time were ready to leave and some... More

Visited here last Sunday for a big-ish family get together for the first time. We had pre-ordered our meals and once sat down each course came out in a timely fashion, but it never felt rushed. Extra veg and gravy was just right and each of the 3 courses I had was spot on! The place as a really nice... More
