Cullen's is a smaller charming restaurant at Ashford Castle a short walk from the Castle, providing casual and intimate dining in the evening for two or twelve offering excellent Irish cuisine and seafood. Our family group consisted of 11 members who consistently favored Guinness, and the Irish Lamb. The wine selection was excellent as well. The Irish servers with their... More

Cullen's sells the same food as the Lodge at Ashford Castle, just a few euro more expensive. If you go to the Castle's bar, you get the same menu again but pay even more! Seems a bit daft to me. You would expect to get better more expensive food at the Castle surely, not just the same thing but more... More

Very simply - the food was stunning! My husband and I went for dinner here one night on our stay in The Lodge at Ashford Castle which is a 3 minute drive away and on the grounds. We had the tiger prawn linguine to start which I mentioned that we would share - it was brought out already divided which... More

I was there with my girlfriend for a weekend in the west of Ireland and we had dinner here the last night. Everything, i mean everything was spot on, waiters well trained and very helpful with the menu. My starter was slow cooked pork belly and was good and well presented, i had salmon for main course which was perfectly... More

From the delicious selections of bread to the exquisite prawns and chili linguine to the grilled fish of the day, my meal was perfect. My wife had the pot pie, which she proclaimed the best ever. We also had the spring rolls wrapped in lettuce and mint, yum and the rotisserie chicken all excellent. By far the best meal I... More

Elegant but casual country setting. Great service and very good food. Seafood dish of day was superb. Cooked right and well presented. It is not cheap but a good alternative to the town pubs when you want a nice night out.

The scones were a bit expensive (around €7.50, but I could be wrong), but were yum yum for a special treat or if you have loads of money and like spending it. I rarely give any place I visit 5 stars, because I am hard to please. However, I will give this place 5 stars. I like to put a... More

Lunchtime staff appeared to be part-time and lacked proper training - and not too bright - However food was good on both our visits and reasonable value for Lunch. We called from the car to make a lunch time appointment for 4.30 and were told that lunch finishes at 4.30 - so after some hairy driving landed at 4.30 to... More
