Description: Soboro Bar & Restaurant is situated in Afitos village close to the centre, opposite the taxi rank. The family ran restaurant offers a warm and friendly place to enjoy the evening after a day at the beach. They have a wide range of dishes, from the traditional greek meze, main plates and a selection of fine foods from across eastern europe. The grilled red peppers and traditional gyros are a great choice. For drinks they have over 30 beers from Greece, Czech Republic, Belgium, Holland, Germany and England and to name a few. Soboro has seen many local, famous bands play from Thessaloniki and they have a huge selection of music from British rock, funk, jazz, and pop, swing and easy listening, any requests, just ask! For those evening when it's just too hot to be in, there is a beautiful, upstairs roof terrace where all are welcomed. The bar also shows on those occasional, rainy days that they have in Halkidiki, movies and sports.

Excellent venue to spend a fantastic evening, the menu, is probably the best I've seen, and to match it, the food was just awesome. Really good selection of both local Greek foods, more so from the Halkidiki area, but a completely different aspect is also the European selection on the menu. I must admit I love my food, the portions... More

Greek hospitality taken to extreme, amazing! The food is more than you'd except from a sea side resort tavern in Halkidiki. Salads, fish, famous oven baked pork, smoked octopus, omg!!

Dear Mr Birmingham, In response to your comments regarding the food at Soboro, I am interested to find out if you are writing about the right place? The reason why I ask is that I do not serve beef on my menu, and secondly with having 5 x A4 pages with 85 choices including meze, main, fish, chicken, pork, pasta,... More

We wanted to watch a World Cup game while accommodating our kids' wish to have dinner. The place is lively and although it has all the accoutrements of a bar for grown-ups, it can also easily take in kids. Our party of 10 was quite obviously big and was clearly going to be a bit of a strain on the... More

I was really looking forward to eating at Soboro. I hope that we were just unlucky when we visited in early June. We did hear afterwards that there was a new chef and a changing menu. The positives were a warm welcome on a very wet night, a good sized table and quick drinks service. Our waitress was clearly inexperienced... More

We were a party of 15 people looking for a place in Afithos to watch the British Formula 1 Grand Prix. The place looked nice and had a big screen. We were amazed at the varitey and the quality of the food. Everything is fresh, home made and really tasty. They have this great apple cider. The owners are really... More

Wow is what I can say about this little restaurant/bar. I have eaten here twice now two days in a row and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Afitos. I had the amazing buffalo burger twice and my other half had fish once and the pork the following day and we were not disappointed in anyway. The wait is... More

Went here after reading TA reviews and was not disappointed. The rooftop view while eating was a real bonus. The menu was varied and the price was very reasonable. Food was good and invariably when in Afitos the place was packed. Run by a lovely lady from our part of the country who made us both feel very welcome. Would... More
